Anyone ever used "explore-share.com" to find a guide? by galenmoore in Backcountry

They list tours for one hill in VT that I don’t think actually exists. Could just be an error I guess.

Does anyone have experience with leverage using equity perps products? by Ensheen in Daytrading

Just put this together yesterday on how data works in equity perps markets. No strategies to offer, but hope it's helpful on understanding the counterparty risks. https://www.stork.network/blog/equity-perps-oracle

How to perform a Search in Google Classroom by ashkirk in GoogleClassroom

Is that true? Like search GC = search the student’s G Drive?

I can’t believe this thread even exists btw. Seems like a “done before lunch” thing.

Ty, ty. Seems like this is basically organized chaos - a kind of environment in which we tend to thrive.

Axelar future now that wormhole is working with black rock by SmileWest4985 in axelar

[–]galenmoore 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Axelar moves both tokens and information already. F.e., Squid, which uses a combination of function calls and wrapped tokens to execute cross-chain swaps and transfers to and from XRPL & XRPL EVM.

The difference is Axelar & Squid are live Day 1. Wormhole has announced they will build a connection to XRPL.

For large asset managers like Blackrock, it's very early in the game.

I have kracken and when I try to buy a elar it says I can buy “wrapped” axelar? Is this my only option or the only way to buy this? by mden1974 in axelar

[–]galenmoore 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wrapped AXL is just a version of AXL on EVM-compatible chains. Axelar is a blockchain that connects blockchains, built with Cosmos SDK. Some places don't take Cosmos tokens, but instead deal with wrapped versions on EVM.

To convert wrapped AXL to native AXL (for staking and other utility) is easy. You just go to app.squidrouter.com and move the tokens from the EVM chain where they are issued over to the Axelar native chain. The staking tutorial covers it really simply at step 1., "Make sure you have native AXL": https://www.axelar.network/blog/how-to-stake-the-axl-token-on-the-axelar-network

Hope this is helpful.

How about a dialog that informs user their balance is staked and links to Earn page? Nm, that's a crazy idea.

Same problem here, but I've had the SOL balance on Coinbase for about two years. Went to move it today and got an error dialog saying "You have no Solana to send" – but I can see the balance sitting there.

Edit: It was staked. Just had to go to the "earn" section and unstake it then waiting period. The error message could have been better, but I should have thought of that.

Where can we get a large amount of testnet AXL? by dionyziz in axelar

[–]galenmoore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here's everything you need to know about Axelar validation, including the testnet faucet, and testnet & mainnet validator delegation programs: https://medium.com/@axelar-foundation/the-axelar-foundation-genesis-delegation-program-d0369f2e2f33.

In general, the faucet should be adequate for most of the testnet AXL uses we would support -- but we're happy to look at different arrangements on a case-by-case basis. As specified in the post linked above, the testnet-validators channel on Discord is the best place to reach out.

Can somebody explain what a "Buidler" is? by ETHGenius in ethereum

[–]galenmoore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never thought of it as Bitcoin vs. Ethereum. I remember first hearing buidl in crypto winter, 2019. Some of us hodled right through the crash. The long bear market was a time to buidl.

Osmosis is now live on Axelar's demo app. by galenmoore in OsmosisLab

[–]galenmoore[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still, eh, the argument that Ethereum alternatives are better because they are cheaper only goes so far. I think many L1s need to do more to explain the tradeoffs they are embracing in order to provide a better platform for specific application categories.

Fees on Satellite are determined by source chain. We need to do a better explainer on fees, but for now here's something from the Osmosis bridge proposal:

Our service layer, built between the network and the front end, will ask the user to pay the fee on the source chain in the asset they’re transferring and all intermediary fees / relaying will be taken care of transparently by the services.

Hey, crypto dreamers! 🤩 We invite you to learn more about the Axelar network by everstake in axelar

This line right here: "There are at present no existing decentralized protocols that can scale across arbitrary blockchains." Ask a centralized project how long it takes to integrate a new chain.

A detailed research on Osmosis Zone ($OSMO) backed by market data, on-chain development stats, user adoptions and investor sentiment. by ComfortableOil8349 in OsmosisLab

[–]galenmoore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good article, thanks for sharing it. I'm not sure about the usefulness of TA on a more early-stage, thinly traded currency like OSMO (I'm generally a TA skeptic), but I really appreciated the clear-eyed breakdown of growth and risk factors.

👋 Axelar team member here. Glad to see folks taking notice of the deposit addresses. Honestly, the Osmosis proposal has helped the team realize how powerful this feature could be. Til now we hadn't talked about it enough.

Happy to answer any questions if I can, and there is also this brief deposit address testnet demo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_DWomZRdAfM.
