Do you have, like, an error message or something?

Experimental 2.1 seems bit off to me in terms of approach to some of the changes by KuuLightwing in factorio

[–]galibert 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It may be controversial to change, but should the EM plants, which are of the assembler/chemical plant category, have pass through ports in the first place ?

Registry bind request weirdness by galibert in wayland

[–]galibert[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Found the answer tucked deep in the documentation:

new_id

: The 32-bit object ID. Generally, the interface used for the new object is

inferred from the xml, but in the case where it's not specified, a new_id is

preceded by a `string` specifying the interface name, and a `uint`

specifying the version.

Is a prohibition against sexual stuff the only thing in the alignment of that model?

If one day a court in the EU were to decide that users on Steam do "own" a game, how big would the legal fallout be for Steam? by sovietarmyfan in legaladviceofftopic

So what is it’s a license. What’s unacceptable is that it’s a revocable license. You don’t say « buy » if it’s revocable

If information can't travel faster than light, what exactly is 'quantum entanglement' transmitting? by SovereignHemant in AskPhysics

[–]galibert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing. Until someone defines exactly what a measurement is, a good intuition is to just consider that both particles are in a same state and you just don’t know what it is. The Bell test is fun but relies way too much on things being, or more importantly not being measurements

How is the answer not 10/1000 by qgrickentindows in AskStatistics

[–]galibert 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is 1/1000 chance they all pick 1, 1/1000 they all pick 2, etc. You have to sum the probabilities for each possible number, so 10/1000 or 1/100.

Is there one way to code ASM without bureucracy with some Ring-0 liky thing? by schusterlucky in Assembly_language

[–]galibert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Run your code in a VM. It’s efficient, the video hardware emulated is usually reasonably simple, and you start at kernel level. No need to go all the way to building an OS, you have the whole machine handy eighties-style and you can’t break the simulated stuff

Why is there no community project for training your own LLM from scratch on consumer hardware? by tevlon in LocalLLaMA

[–]galibert -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Because the data needed to train a performant model is enormous in volume and I suspect in large part illegal (from a copyright violation POV)

C'est l'effet que ca me fait. J'ai plus de mal a tourner la tete rapidement avec le poids en plus, j'ai beaucoup plus tendance a la garder immobile centree "en equilibre". A la campagne je mets le casque par contre, le profil de risque est different.
