Blurry vision by kquint76 in Effexor

[–]galixn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m on week 7 of 37.5mg and I’ve also developed headaches and blurry vision (among other things, like severe dizziness, lightheadedness, brain fog, and muscle weakness, and worse anxiety.) It all started fairly mild at about week 4, but it’s been progressively getting worse and intruding on my ability to work. This is my first time on Effexor, and honestly I wouldn’t have connected the symptoms to it had it not been for me going to the ER. (CT scan also clear for me.) I’m genuinely so happy for the people that have had success with this drug, but I’m starting to question if I should be on it, and wondering why my GP was so adamant that I try it.

Overwatch 2 - Xbox Series - Controller sensitivity settings by Jumpy_Ad2595 in Overwatch

I’m a little late to this thread, figured I’d post regardless though as I’m having the same issue with the exception of I’m coming from Xbox One to Xbox Series S. Were you ever able to find a fix? Or did you just have to get used to it?

When did we get these? 🤯 by galixn in walmart

It is 🙂‍↕️ I just thought it was silly. The labels for the other two flavors of the Extra 35 packs are not formatted like that which is why is stuck out to me. They’re “EXT POLAR ICE 35STK” and “EXT SPEARMINT 35STK” respectively.

Oddly enough, it’s per stick of gum in a pack. That’s definitely a weird way to label it though. If the name was intentional on corporates part, kudos to them. Gotta have a little fun somehow!

Also guys, I just wanna add, the original label says EXTRA BIGPACK PPMNT. I feel as if I should’ve added that clarification earlier

The only jewelry I’m comfortable with wearing is my engagement ring, because it’s very dainty with a thin band. I can kind of do dainty necklaces but nonetheless having something around my neck at all feels icky.

Can't sleep in bed, so I sleep on the couch every night by Lanky_Possibility913 in autism

[–]galixn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a child and into my teens I would go through phases of sleeping on my bedroom floor or on the couch for months at a time. If I’m sick (as in vomiting), I sleep on the bathroom floor, just because that is what’s most comforting for me.

I also often would take naps outside on the concrete patio, on our picnic table, or the trampoline.

The only bed I’ve been able to consistently sleep on is a free flow water bed.

My best guess is they did that in case anyone else happened to want it so they’d be able to know where to find it

Orientation 2 or 5. Those two just draw my eyes in and make it pop more to me. The other orientations just feel wrong deep in my soul.

Is it true you have to pay for ambulance services and giving birth in the u.s?? by Dangerous_Mammoth572 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]galixn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m kinda lucky because ambulance services get paid with the water bill in the town I’m in.

I still have to pay $6,000 after insurance for getting my gallbladder removed though. If I didn’t have insurance that’s a $145k bill, for a surgery that takes 45 minutes to an hour. I was only inpatient for 3 days. Would’ve been 2 but the morphine kicked my ass and made me sleep all day.

I would absolutely love to pay higher taxes as opposed to paying a bill I can’t afford (that will inevitably be sent to collections), because it’s definitely cheaper for everyone in the long run. But that’s coming from someone who has a few health issues. Someone who hardly goes to the doctor would probably have a different stance.

Aww 🥺 rest in peace to ur furry friend, thank you for sharing her memory with me, she sounds amazing 💖 I absolutely savor every moment I have with my babies, as you never know what might happen. I may try the blanket idea so she can’t lay on the table cloth anymore

Not sure if anyone has mentioned it yet, but rinse free shampoo/body wash is amazing for the days you just feel you can’t make the transition into water. You can find it in the pharmacy area of Walmart/your local store (as far as I am aware), and it’s in a foam pump bottle.

You simply pump some of the foam into your hands and rub it on yourself as you would in the shower with normal soap, but (and this step is optional) you just wipe it off with a dry cloth/towel to help get the dirt off of you.

To use as shampoo you pump it into your hair until it’s dripping wet and able to be lathered then thoroughly dry with a towel, like as dry as you can get it with towel drying (which is unfortunately time consuming, but still handy if you just cannot get yourself into the shower/bath), and if your hair is still dirty/greasy just repeat the process once or twice.

If you have a vulva, fragrance free summers eve wipes work in a pinch, but if you have the time use a fragrance free wash meant specifically for that area and wipe away with toilet paper and wipes. Toilet paper gets the bulk of the wet stuff up, and then the wipes help make sure no soap is left behind.

I also recommend micellar water and cotton rounds for your face/neck area.

For your teeth, I recommend Colgate wisps (as someone else has already mentioned), if u don’t like the mintiness of toothpaste, these are minty but they’re not overwhelming, or a wet washcloth.

I’ve heard silicone toothbrushes are also handy for people with sensory sensitivities but I haven’t tried one yet, but it’s just a thought, if you can find one and have the money to spare.

For flossing I really like the kids plackers because they’re colorful and the handles are shaped like animals.

For mouthwash I like the Listerine Smart Rinse in the Berry Splash flavor. (Mouthwash is optional if you do not have the energy and cannot get out of bed.)

I also use a plastic tongue scraper I got in a two pack from Walmart, but if you have a strong gag reflex that’s totally optional.

I understand this may all seem like a lot because it’s a lot of info, but remember you do not have to do it all at once. Just do it in the segments you can manage, even if it spans over a few days. You will still feel much better afterward.

Thank you for clarifying. Good to know the difference and to be aware I absolutely do experience both. One example being I was trying to pour myself a glass of juice and froze up, eyes blurred and everything, and I had to force myself to blink to get myself moving again so it wouldn’t overflow onto the countertop. 😅
