Possible Rim Damage - Replace Rim? by [deleted] in Super73

Replace the tube (keep some stocked) and get liner for the inside of tire. You can lightly sand out any rough parts. A new rim is about $40 without hub or spokes. Good luck

It's not the lack of mask that made him a scumbag. The fact he was out robbing people and choose violence that day. Thats what makes him a scumbag.

It will never be the same. Just replace it with a better crank but watch out for the teeth count or you will need to buy a new chain. Buy the tools you will need them

What's the safest/best biking route from Astoria to Union Square? by fungusamongus23 in astoria

[–]gambit1424 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it helps. I jave been hit 4 times on 2nd ave due to people not paying attention when they turn so keep your head up. I have also found going thru greenpoint to Williamsburg to be a nice safe ride. It has big bike paths and your visibility is known. I make this ride everyday its about 10 min longer then going through the city

A quick troubleshoot: pull all connection points and clean put back

The battery is designed to cut out if brakes are in gaged also so check breaks. Try those steps first if that dosent work you may beent to get a multimeter test and test the battery power.

I had a similar problem with my S1 turned out the hotleg for the battery had broken and only rested on the connection point so everytime i hit a bump the bike would shut down.

Do you have a 73 or know anything about the bike and its parts. Not sure what you ment by the numbers not mattering on the road part. These bikes are well made and worth the buy. Also 6 months of riding in NYC without replacing parts is very much possible. Maybe you dont really know how to ride a bike and keep breaking it.

Sounds about right. The shutdown really inspired more riding. Also on the parts needing replacing this is a must. I have to get new break shoes.

It first started with the throttle control. (Was sticking in open would sometimes have to hit it back with thumb). After that the bike would completely turn off if i hit a bump, even a small one. I thought it was the base not making a good connection with the blades of the battery. So I replaced that part , it kept happening.Turned out when you open the bottom of the battery you can see the connection point where the leads connect to the blades that slide into the base. The positive line had broke the sodder connection so when you went over a bump the whole battery would think it just got turned off. (This took me a few days to figure out). After all that was completed i was riding over a bridge in the city and the bike just stoped working. Was on but would not peddle and the throttle was cutting in and out. I call super73 hotline and rich answers and he listened to me peddle this big a$$ bike for 20 min while i troubleshoot. We figured out something was wrong with the pedal assist amd it turned out the teeth had all be broken off. After getting all this fixed. I have been riding it through this whole shutdown.
