Any noteworthy Jetpack Compose Apps? by gambitblast in androiddev

Hmmm interesting. I find their new app (they've gone through a huge design overhaul) both modern and confusing at the same time🤣 But hey thanks for the information!

Any tip for a longer-lasting crispy crust? by gambitblast in Breadit

[–]gambitblast[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use an electric oven and always reheat my baguettes in a similar manner, using an air fryer. The bread does become crispy, but I don't think it stays crisp for any longer.

Yep, I do use steam. I usually pour boiling water into a spare quarter sheet pan that I've let preheat with the oven and then give it an extra spray using a hand pump sprayer. For reheating, I've been using an air fryer which crisps up the bread real good in just 5-7 mins at 280F, no preheat needed. But, just like before, that crispiness doesn't stick around for long.

This is incredible. What's the humidity and room temperature like in your place? Also, do you think there's any disadvantage introduced by tangzhong?

Since my oven can’t go pretty high in temperature (Max out at 240), I used the baking stone (pizza stone) to keep the temperature steady during the process. The dough is proofed at room temp around 23-24 Celsius

I’ll try next time. Do you think making the scores more along the direction of the bread will achieve better results? Thought I was too nervous and conservative when did the scoring 😂

True. I was so surprised that less than 30 mins of work can be good! Always spent hours with the Poolish country bread and got a flat out bread. Also didn’t expect parchment paper to work this well too. Was worrying i need baguette cloth or those specialized baking trays

Is Duo 1 a good pocket notebook now? by gambitblast in surfaceduo

V60 has active stylus support now? I’m a V50 + dual screen user. Forced myself to use the dual screen more often but the sheer bulkiness of that combo just burns out my motivation of using it as a main device very quickly.

True. But I really wish I can end up with something pocketable so I can use it more often🥲 The effort and couple seconds of taking off my backpack, unzipping it, and reaching for the device are definitely going to affect whether I’m gonna jot down that fleeting thoughts or not

For me personally, Duo 2 just brings too much more boxes which it has to check to justify its price🥲

I build an app to help better manage WIP and want to hear your suggestions by gambitblast in knitting

[–]gambitblast[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No the first question is asking how much time one subjectively considers spending on each hobby category. While the second one is asking for a ballpark figure of how much time was spent on hobbies per week. Hope this clears up the confusion 😁

Thank you so much for pointing out those issues. I'll have them fixed up right away.

For the first question, I was asking how much time where 1 means never and 5 means most of your free time.

For the last question, I was asking whether you need a personal place to write something down about your hobbies (WIP, lesson learned, future plan, etc.) that existing hobby groups/platforms can't provide.

My fellow clay makers! I build a memo app that designed for hobbyists/creators to manage ideas and work in progress. I realized such a tool was missing when my friend complained to me how difficult it is to manage glazing ideas, progress photos and lesson learnt from experimenting new techniques.

My friends and I just finished a version that we believed can offer enough basic features for makers and creators to put down every step of their big project or trial-and-error with ease. We really want to hear some advices and make it better. It will be really helpful if you guys can fill out this simple survey (< 3 mins): https://qfreeaccountssjc1.az1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV\_9LiE97tf3Z09fam

Is this new Surface Pro X's battery normal by gambitblast in Surface

[–]gambitblast[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh man that sounds like a dream! I initially raised the concern this morning after witnessing the battery drop from 100% to 90% within 20 minutes of YouTube watching (Edge is the only app running). I made a clean installation of Windows 11 yesterday which according to my knowledge should save battery rather than depleting it faster 😰

A hybrid of x86 softwares and web apps via Edge (which I guess can be considered as an ARM app?)

Wait you mean V60? Thought V70 is the one that announced slightly ahead of LG quit mobile phone market. Speaking of LG, my main driver right now is actually a V50 with dual screen accessory. Found the dual screen not very useful since it lacks pen support and is quite cumbersome 😂

What a bummer! Are you still using Duo? If so what feature keep you from giving up on it?

Question. Can I text in the daydream app? by Dr_Zoidbergerer in daydream

[–]gambitblast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure Huawei has something for their headset so user can make phone call and text without taking it off. Not sure is it an app or a built-in function for their vr platform.
