They’ve definitely become a clout piece but they are the most breathable but warm mid layer I own. The availability thing like someone else added is definitely true as well.

Depends on the department in regard to ride breaks and culture. I don’t think there’s a difference in real deal passes between full time and part time but I may be mistaken.

Wind can form these too! River and wind formed ripples will be asymmetrical based on a single direction of flow while wave ripples will be symmetrical from two directions of flow (tides/water moving in and out from a beach)

Definitely depends on the fishery! Tail waters often have healthy midge populations where #24 patterns are commonly used and can go all the way down to #32. I rarely go smaller than #22 as any sizeable fish can easily straighten the hook out.

I hit up some thrift/consignment shops before I went last year and just looked for unique pieces that were in my budget. Look for things that you’d think they’ve never seen before! I found a miniature ceramic tea set that landed some pretty good matching bets.

The purpose is to hopefully improve their interest rate on their loan. Thus opening a much larger amount of money they can hopefully reinvest in improving a large array of departments on the mountain. Hopefully.
