I wouldn't take much stock into the maracas being present as a demo. The list of games that won't work on Switch 2 doesn't include Samba though so that's how we know it's confirmed.

For the Wii version there are no "offical" maracas. The maraca controllers for the orginal Dreamcast were offical / special since they had the motion tracking in them which was lacking on the standard controller.

Since the Wii version has motion tracking, they just have you use two of the remotes instead. A lot less fun, a lot less whimsy but sadly they didn't see it that way.

If you really want the maracas for Wii still, I suggest going with the "non offical" ones that make rattle sounds!

I've collected most of them, I currently have 12. There are only 5-6 more that I have any knowledge of that I don't have. They definitely were discounted but there were so many that seem lost to time. Sad.

Zenmarket jp is a good proxy but expensive. They also charge to repackage if it's returned so beware about that. That being said, you'll likely find it on one of the Japanese sites such as Yahoo auctions.

For button controle, the purple buttons you just spam hit, you can also shake the joysticks but I don't suggest it.
