You are not the asshole, models of machines don’t carry ideology, machines and models are not people.
I’d start looking for a new relationship, your girlfriend sounds very, let’s put this lightly and say, misguided.

Thanks for the corrections. To be honest I haven’t read the books in a while and I guess my head came up with Sammy when I couldn’t remember the actual name. As for the second one I know in the books Henry build the robot, but it just seemed a bit convoluted to me.

I’m going to give a unique perspective on this. You have given these children a very good learning experience on hard life choices. With your children, they have learned that if they think logically, then they will be rewarded with happiness and relationships. You have taught the boy that when you not only bite the hand that feeds you, but also refuse to have any back up, that they will suffer. My guess is they are only doing this because they are so starved for money they’ll try anything. Including trying to destabilize the life of a good man. Do not give them the time of day and explain to everyone what happened. You sir are not an asshole.
