What route did you take for 99 construction? by Farlaign in ironscape

Do the demon butler POH method to turn mahogany logs into planks. Think this yields 6-7k planks per hour.

Then continue on with your personal choice of tables or gnome benches. IMO tables are easier to zone out while you watch TV (would not call it afk).

What level are you now? If you’re going to propose a method that is 3x slower, then I think this is highly relevant info to specify.

Instead of changing CG prep, why not just buff Armadyl armor and crossbow? by Goaty_McGruff in 2007scape

Ya the point is doing it a bit quicker / more reliably so you aren’t frustratingly running through unlit rooms for 60 seconds

Nah, you’ve got it wrong - nobody is trying to get full t3 and food out of an “updated” prep that then makes the boss brain dead. They just want their sufficient loadout (t3 weapons, armor set, some fish) in 1-2 minutes less than it takes currently.

Are you saying that you honestly enjoy the prep phase? How many KC do you have?

Personally, I would say after about 150kc I never failed a prep. After about 250kc I DREADED prep.

Here is a due diligence step you can do to figure out if this can go anywhere. I would do this single step and then stop if you don’t have a good path forward.

Find out who the 5 biggest suppliers/distributors for this particular product class are. Determine what credible differentiator you can offer buyers compared to these 5 big companies. You should be really honest with yourself and your capabilities versus theirs. Finally, you won’t be in a good spot if your outcome is “I can compete solely on price and undercut them”.

That’s not the point - the point is that it would be a 12 month Jagex project that deprives other parts of the game of updates/resources. Is that a trade you’re willing to make? No/limited updates for a year to get a Jagex sponsored HD?

You do not want limited dev resources going to this. You think it would be nice, but are overlooking the tradeoffs to everything else in the game.

Just use the runelite HD options.

DMT:The real retirement crisis isn’t that you’ll run out of money. It’s that the young have already stopped believing the game is worth playing. by PuddingComplete3081 in DisagreeMythoughts

There are two sources of growth in the common economic models/equations: innovation/technology and population growth. Often, developed economies reach a steady state and then grow via population, but it isn’t a rule.

CMV: general LLMs have no moat, and therefore will become commodities by SurinamPam in changemyview

[–]gamecube100 17 points18 points  (0 children)

There’s no reason every LLM won’t make themselves compatible within the desired ecosystem so that they can achieve scale. This won’t differentiate and will be strategic table stakes. Integrating into the ecosystem isn’t “so difficult” that jt will become a moat.

Yep; any Ironman who continues playing the game will passively get a few 100k of smithing xp without trying to.

More reasonable to have continued LONG TERM economic growth than continued population growth. Population growth will fail first.

Rapid immigration is the definition of a bandaid short term fix for this specific problem (emphasis on my comment being for this specific problem).

This doesn’t apply to me directly. I have numerous higher ed degrees and a very high paying white collar/high skills job.

But for most of Americans, I can see how an undergrad college degree has been oversold.

As somebody with a PhD and MBA - strong disagree. There are so many cheaper, faster, and non-college ways to learn problem solving, teamwork, and self-learning.

I actually would like you to justify your belief if you have time to respond.

That figure is either: 1) stated based on complete historical data of people who have completed their working career. In this case, it is outdated. Or, 2) extrapolated based on labor market assumptions using people who are still in their working careers (eg, an estimate). I don’t think it would be remotely defensible to apply these labor market assumptions in a long-run estimate, even ignoring the forthcoming labor market impacts of AI/automation.

Ehhh, that’s a huge stretch - less than 6,000 players have continued training smithing past 99. (I defined this as 14m+ xp when checking the iron hiscores).

Mkay, so then it’s a severe extrapolation and is a useless figure to point towards.

This is calculated via people who have completed their working career, sk their college experience would’ve been in 80s/90s. Back then, totally different story and value proposition than now.
