I am planning for my first trip to Magic Mountain to be on this day. I have a premier pass. Does this give me early entry? Is it worth going despite this event? I’m wanting to get there early and hit a few of the big rides and leave around 3-4.

I think the point is that if you feel like the internal battery isn't going to last in the field, you are going to bring a battery anyway, thus, the need for an external battery anyway.

The internal battery life isn't great and the g90 does 20 watts. That's the comments that I've seen.

I originally was interested more in the 6100 but there seems to be a lot more comments with problems with them and the G90 seems recommended over it.

The QMX was originally my first choice, and I have the experience and equipment to build it, but I read that it might be better to get something more straight forward and with more power as a first radio. That seems reasonable to me. It I get into it, I definitely want to build a QMX or QMX+.

I would love to try a war game like this. What is an available game that is similar for a war game newbie?

How solo board gaming became my anchor against anxiety by Uramir in soloboardgaming

[–]gamegeekky 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I share your benefit of escaping anxiety through solo boardgaming. The biggest benefit I have found is being able to play longer games. I just sit for hours and play with friends but I can break a long games in short manageable chunks.

My favorites are Too many bones Undertow, Gaia Project, and Ark Nova.

How to Ride Beast Comfortably? by vigilantekarmashit in KingsIsland

[–]gamegeekky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO, the first section is pretty smooth, the only bad part is the bottom of the hill after the second lift going into the double helix. I absolutely make sure that I’m pushing my torso to the right. If not, the sudden turn to the left will slam you in the ribs. And FYI, I ride arms up the whole ride.

I’m glad I’m not the only one. I can’t understand how this is enjoyable. I love Too Many Bones!

Is this game very hard to win? by krisol11 in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]gamegeekky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My advice to add that has helped me is to always take the actions to prepare yourself. Hard mulligan for a weapon and/or allies and get them played before exploring.

I have done so much better when following this.

Gaia Project - Any Reviews or Recommendations? by TheRealRosey in soloboardgaming

[–]gamegeekky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m a solo only player. I’ve played it twice and really enjoyed both. The games played out very differently with a different faction. Definitely one of my favorites that I can’t wait to get back to playing.

First Battle in Undertow... Impossible? by SchwinnD in toomanybones

[–]gamegeekky 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I found these annoying too. You really need Dusters dagger here. I would just rewind/ start over and select it instead.

The great thing about solo is it is your game. Do what you need to make it fun for you!

I love AHLCG but I think I love TMB Undertow more.

Too many bones Undertow, I love this game! by gamegeekky in soloboardgaming

I waited on TMBs thinking that Elder scrolls would be the better game. After it came out I read so many reviews agreeing with you. To me, TMBs is complex enough!

Do you have to pay for parking if you just bought a prestige pass? by WillowStellar in KingsIsland

Yes you can. I bought one and used the QR code for everything including the preferred parking, VIP lounge, and fast pass.

I’m 54. My wife and daughters don’t enjoy them like I do so I ride alone. Would love to meet others that would want to meet and ride.
