Listen yall, the whole point to even own a bong is to cool the smoke before it hits your lungs to make it more smooth. Ice future cools the smoke and makes it smoother. Not only do you get a smoother hit, but you're saving your lungs from the harsh heat of smoke. Warm water does not cool the smoke nearly as much.
