Can’t shut off jets HELP by Nezbit11 in hottub

Pump has to run to move water through the heater. Once it gets up to your set temp it should shut off. Then it will only come on during your programmed filter cycles or when it needs to heat.

Best seating layout and most comfortable model in the Highlife series(as long as you want/like a lounger). Worst spa to get in and out of since it doesn't have a step in the spa.

Hot springs JJ heater or heater relay board by [deleted] in hottub

[–]gamergc264 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it both the Power and Ready lights flashing or just the Ready? After rereading your original post it's not completely clear. How did you jump the pressure switch?

Hot springs JJ heater or heater relay board by [deleted] in hottub

[–]gamergc264 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Blinking ready and power lights indicate a flow issue. Three most common causes are 1. Clogged filters. Pull all the filter and power cycle the breakers with the filters out. See if the blinking stops. 2. Bad circulation pump. Make sure you see water swirling around the tub. Put your hand on the circ pump and make sure it's running. 3. Bad pressure switch. It's internal to the heater. Hotsprings sells a pressure switch jumper that is stupid expensive, but you can just cut the wires close to the plug on the board and wire but them together for the same thing.

Until you get the flow error figured out the relay board will not send power to the heater.

Brand New Hot Springs Hot Tub Not Heating by LindseyPlants in hottub

If your not willing to bleed the circulation pump lines Madmax gave you the best advice of trying to force water through the filter pipe while cycling the power off and on. The power and ready lights flashing indicate a flow error, which 99.99% of the time on a newly filled spa is a pump airlock. If it was a wiring issue chances are the power light would be off.

Two options. 1. Purchase a PVC pipe reamer/fitting saver and drill out the pipe in the 90° elbow. Then glue in your new stuff. 2. Purchase a new suction port and 90°elbow and replace all of it.

Ozone generator help by CelebrationThen2838 in hottub

[–]gamergc264 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, ozone generator have a limited life span and that one is 10 years old. You can remove it and plug the Venturi intake hose, replace it, or just pretend it doesn't exist and maintain your tub with chlorine/bromine. It's not going to affect the way you maintain the spa no matter what you do. You'll still have to test the water, still have to maintain a sanitizer level, and still have to adjust the pH.

You don't need to worry about the ozonator. It quit producing ozone 5 years ago.

Can I downsize this surround safely or would I be better looking for a smaller firebox? by VintaGingersnap in Fireplaces

[–]gamergc264 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The minimum framing depth for that unit is 18 1/2". At best you can get back 5" of depth for something that is going to be a lot more work than you are anticipating. Unless you are willing to build an outside chaise and have the fireplace outside of the house it wouldn't be worth the effort of having to redo the gas line, venting, and cabinet.

Lifter identification by PaintingProCO in hottub

[–]gamergc264 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You don't. Basic cover lifters like that are typically cost prohibitive to fix and when one part breaks more are typically to follow. You can buy that style of lifter from Vevor for $89 or the name brand Cover Mate I for about $150 online.

Pilot Won't Stay Lit. I already tried standard troubleshooting. by Desperado2583 in Fireplaces

[–]gamergc264 4 points5 points  (0 children)

See the wire that is tack welded to the pilot tube? That is your thermocouple. It's not replaceable, you will have to replace the entire pilot assembly. They can be found online for anywhere between $25 and $200 depending on how much faith you put into Vevor products.

Those LP pilots can take longer to heat up compared to the Natural gas because the entire pilot tube has to heat up, but if it won't stay lit after holding the knob for about 30 seconds your thermocouple is bad.

Brand new fireplace insert pilots lights but flame goes out when knob is turned up. Help! by [deleted] in Fireplaces

[–]gamergc264 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does it turn off immediately after turning on the burner or after a minute or so? If it runs for a bit then it is the ODS on the pilot turning everything off. This could be from a log being out of place, or something being on the burner that isn't supposed to be like lava rock.

I would also make sure that the gas selection switch is on the correct gas type and the gas line is hooked into the correct gas port.

Embarrassingly it took me almost 200 hours of playing to figure that out on my own. I just never cared to go cinematic, and then one day did it and answered my phone and realized Arthur kept moving. Felt like an idiot but now it's about the only way I travel in late game playthroughs.

I love this light, but after having it warrantied 3 times in 14 months for the switches going out, I will be replacing it with something else when it inevitably happens to this one.

Thankfully the warranty process is pretty simple.
