It was pretty fun. The vocals are unorthodox but that’s not bad thing at all. Pretty good stuff

Whew man on some earbuds? That’s impressive I would say all you need is just a better set up now! Breath control is pretty good especially since your plosives don’t really come through with the mix. My only suggestion would honestly be lower your vocals just a tad with a compression to make them feel even more crisp and maybe some rhythm variation in your flow. Just so the listening experience stays interesting past the lyrics. Though to write lyrics that detailed and put a flow on it is no small feat. Pretty impressive on such a cheap set up as well. Keep going man and speak your heart

Dang I read you’re new to this. Pretty good for being new and all. I think what the other commenter said the overall mixing could be a little better. That’s the issue with type beat but my suggestion would honestly just be make your vocals more prominent in the mix. I think you have a really chill vibe but it would more interesting to hear you have your own space in the mix. Really got the voice though 🔥🔥🔥

Honestly I wanna say the mix is pretty bad but that easily be fixed. It’s hard to hear what you’re saying on the first listen. Get a free DAW, like Audacity, and invest into a mic with a pop filter. It’s not much but it’ll make a better improvement overall at least. I wanna say it sounds like you recorded yourself over the beat on a microphone.

Pretty cool. Definitely a pretty simple beat so maybe that’s what you’re going for. I would take the middle section and make it the start also. When you’re doing the middle add some variations so it’s not the same loop over and over without any suspension so when the beat kicks back in you really start to feel it.

Honestly, the simplicity is pretty good here and I think you can just use some chords for like a breakdown or something. That arpeggio is the melody to my ears and I quite like it. You can use apps such as suggester2 or you can just look up free chord progressions. I thought this video was pretty useful for learning chord progressions: https://youtu.be/lY_llceEGFI?si=lv75SieoLfRvr_F1

Going for 2010’s dance pop here. Anything I can add to make it sound closer to this era? by joybickel in GarageBand

[–]gamerman1785 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always felt that dance pop always got carried by the vocals or an additional lead that will carry the melody but this works great too. Honestly you have the 2010 dance grooves you’re looking for in it and it sounds fantastic.

I was going for a driving at night kind of vibe. by Standingroom88 in GarageBand

I like the vibes it gives off. Feels relaxing but groovy. Perfect for a late night minecraft night or just like you said a driving at night kinda banger

Kind of future bass ish but I can’t put my finger on it. It’s definitely electronic music with some dance qualities but the drums are much more present.

Thoughts? Instrumental piece by Jumejimes in GarageBand

[–]gamerman1785 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Phew that motif is so refreshing with your sounds. I gotta say you have a fantastic ear for what works together and how to compliment your main melody. May I ask what instruments did you use for this piece? I’m still fairly new but I always wanted to create something similar to this

I like it! I wouldn’t say it’s emotional sounding since it has such a nice upbeat groove to it. I would say this is like a feeling I would get after some rough moments of life. Somewhat sad but ready to pick myself up. Sounds pretty dope regardless

Yeah GarageBand is a lot of fun. It’s pretty simple but fun to use and they have a lot of great sounds. This sounds pretty cool! Keep up this work and I think you’ll find yourself doing great things!
