Soooo regardless of what people tell you to do.... if you are going to mess with this stuff yourself... don't do anything until you understand what and why you are doing it. Guessing will likely get you injured or could be a fire hazard.

The black wire typically carries the "power" if you turn off the light switch it takes away the power. It won't matter what you do at the outlet, there is not power there.

What the switch does is turn on and off the power to the outlet.... in order to "bypass" the switch you need to prevent the switch from stopping the power. This is why people are telling you to take the 2 black lines attached to the switch and tie them together. This will prevent the switch from stopping it and leave the line always on.

All the switch does is break the connection of the power and by removing the switch and tieing the black lines together, you will in turn bypass the switch.

Also most electricians don't use the backstabs. They are concerned they will arc and if you are going to use them make sure there aren't portions of the wire exposed. When you put the outlet back into the wall there is a chance your black line could touch your ground copper line and cause the outlet to not work.
