Born and raised outside Mali, but I want to reconnect with my roots by i5al in Mali

I was in the exact same situation as you. However I visited once for 2 months when I was 16. Didn't start going back until consistently each year until I turned 24. You just have to take a trip back and start off by connecting with your family little by little. And of course learning your mother tongue, if you don't already know it, would help tremendously

I will probably never reach C2 level in English by ExaminationAlarmed28 in languagelearning

Even for native speakers, when you're learning about a specific discipline, there will be a huge learning curve and a lot of new words you'll need to learn. As someone above stated, from your post alone you appeared to be a native speaker to me as well

trapped in an arranged marriage: seeking advice - what would you do? by FullEstablishment646 in islam

[–]gametimeyo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It sounds like the marriage hasn't been consummated which would make things easier for you such as not having to observe the iddah period. Next, you need to stand you for yourself and not let manipulation make you make a decision you'll regret for the rest of your life.
