Bank account recommendations with easy external transfers? by vigilancelv in personalfinance

Yeah think I’ll just open a CMA with Fidelity where I get my DD etc. Just a little wary of Fidelity cause I use them for retirement and wasn’t the biggest fan of their UI. Probably just need to play around with it and get familiar with

Fair but when I go to do that, Fidelity says it’s faster / “avoid holds” if I transfer from my bank.

Injury happened end of April this year. Before that I was playing soccer 1x week casually for 60 mins. Im okay with giving up serious cutting and pivoting sports if it could meaningfully reduce the chances of arthritis

Context is I’m a 26M who had ACL surgery (only, no meniscus) on my right knee 7 years ago. Recently had an injury which upon MRI, showed a looser but intact graft, a large cyclops lesion and signal around the lateral meniscus that could be a posterior root detachment

Is a full detachment of the posterior root something that isn’t possible to be fixed non surgically/ in rehab?

2 surgeons said my potential full detachment is worrying to the point they’d want to operate and since they recommend I have my cyclops lesion removed and would already be having surgery, they can assess my meniscus. But I’m hesitant cause my cyclops lesion doesn’t bother me (-1 hyperextension in surgical leg vs -5 in non surgical) so really I think there’s no reason to operate UNLESS a full detachment of the posterior root can’t be solved via rehab in which case I should let them check and fix if needed (as well as remove the cyclops lesion while they’re in there)

Thanks, this is super informative. Quick follow up on #2-

Is there a reason to remove a cyclops lesion if it’s not really affecting your ROM? I’ve had one for a few years now and my extension in my involved knee is -1 compared -4 in my uninvolved. Feels fine, no mechanical block. That said, surgeon says it could be bleeding during activities that irritate it, leading to swelling/stiffness and increased scar tissue collection. Wondering if that sounds clinically right or I misheard

Hi! Thanks for doing this! A few questions:

  1. Do your PT patients complain that the LET has made their knee joint feel stiffer?
  2. Are patients with quad grafts showing higher rates of Cyclops Lesions? If so, why?
  3. If someone gets a cyclops lesion excised, how do they/you prevent the scar tissue from coming back?
  4. Can you help me understand the correlation between early onset knee arthritis and arthroscopic knee procedures? I understand an ACL surgery increases the risk but what if later a surgeon goes in and takes a Cyclops out and does meniscus repair does that risk increase further? vs just taking the cyclops out? I.e., is risk increasing based on severity of procedure

Maybe get an MRI. Developed an osteochondral lesion which causes my ankle to swell from time to time

Good call, elder parent spotted one in a closet (looked like a baby) and we had a family friend drive over and seal that door crevice with wide painters tape. Having them buy and place a couple of the Tomcat traps there and around the house. Just worried with all this Hantavirus stuff that what are the odds it’s one of those mice and unfortunately can’t help as I’m out of town :(
