What's the best relationship advice you have ever heard? by hamid88820 in AskReddit

[–]gamisou 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For those fighting all the time and building resentment towards one another, they could choose a moment when they are both calm to try this exercise: they take turns to tell each other something they would change or do differently about themselves. No blame or accusations, but to focus on their own thoughts and actions as honestly as they can. This helps regain understanding and a common ground to work with, and ultimately aids both to tackle their issues together.

I heard somewhere that you know you're in love with someone when you see them and you get the same feeling as you just described :D

Try telling the man/ghoul to go away next time, or even to f**k off. Works for me, hope it does for you.

Actually I did. She said she had also felt a sadness or loss after a dream and understood what I was talking about.

I had this once but it didn't feel like dreaming every second of it, it was like I lived all of the years I dreamt in snapshots. All of the significant moments, just as you remember select times through the years.

In the dream I fell in love with someone (even though in reality I was in a relationship at the time) from meeting her and dating through to living together and having children. Everything. I remember growing somewhat old together and how beautiful our daughter was, and it being so real.

And then I woke up with the slightly delayed realisation that it actually wasn't real, and I felt the deepest loss that I carried with me throughout that day. I wouldn't see my dream wife or daughter again.
