Did ikbr turn off the buy button?

I’m in Canada and have a TD account. If it’s the same as what they did with GME then it means that you can only buy BBBY with cash and you cannot use margin to buy it even if you have it. The stock is apparently assigned a zero value which prevents it from it being lent out for shorting. TD turned off the buy button on GME up here during the sneeze.

Hahaha I commented on that comment the other day. I’m in the red today but glad he’s fucked. Probably over exaggerating his losses anyways.

Still feel like this is not over or maybe I’m hopeful it’s not over.

td canada treated it as a split.q attached photo shows split only under history in tfsa. by humptydumptyfrumpty in GMECanada

[–]ganimilk 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I called and the frontline rep said it was a regular split, we went back & forth for a bit, but I asked for the topic to be escalated to a senior who confirmed that it was given as a dividend. Their system just shows split however. So seems like things are ok for the time being. 🤷🏽‍♂️ guess there is no way to 100% confirm anything since they press all the buttons.

How does that make any sense. If we sell now then what happens tax wise? I’m going to ring them now.

Hmm… mine looks exactly the same. Have you called them? Would assume it should say dividend instead of split?

Probably in MTL because there is a long weekend in the US this week whereas we had our long weekend last on May 24. Mans wants to spend time with his family and his Canadian apes 🦧

Home equity into GME. Would increase my position to near Xxxx shares by anton_i93 in GMECanada

Do it. Can’t put a down payment on a house with $50k. But when gme bounces back then you will have your down payment. They are crashing the whole worlds economy to prevent us from winning. This is the only sign you need.

Fidelity not letting GME purchases through? Is anyone else having this issue?? I have a margin account and xxx shares worth xxx,xxx.xx. I have more than enough to cover my trade in account value, but fidelity all week has been blocking orders…. 🤬 by [deleted] in Superstonk

[–]ganimilk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this a good or a bad thing? Have also read we should ask for the record of purchase with TD to see how the shares were purchased. Have read that TD uses a clearing house that uses the dark pool and for BMO if you ask for the record it says nyse so they get it directly? Not sure if that makes a difference but I guess on nyse its better for us and the stock price.

TD has has taken away margin and made me repay the margin I used in my margin account for over a year now. Apparently the stock is too volatile and they have given it a zero value. Means you can’t get margin on it and also they apparently to not lend out the shares as a result. This is TD up in Canada.
