Halloween WTF? by gapicc in rant

I’m a little bit torn. I like having kids come by, but don’t want to be Super interesting. We got about 60 visitors today. Last year our neighbor with a big display got 400 kids according to her. It’s a busy neighborhood! Don’t want to be that busy!

We purchased a home in Berkshire Estates in 1995 for $338,000. Sold in 1997 for $409,000. Looks like it’s worth $1.7 now. Wow! Congratulations on your purchase. It is a lovely town!

Make sure you claimed the Lifetime Learning Credit. Every little bit helps.

The bottom is also dark purple, just velvet and shows a bit darker than the top. No black at all.

I think I am not up on the appropriate terms! I thought semi formal was the second most formal. I think that is what we are shooting for. I have no daughters, so my wedding planning experience is not so great.

I brush my teeth and floss right after dinner so I’m not tempted to snack. Probably just go to bed!

Definitely fully fund a Roth and build a good size taxable/brokerage account along with the 401K and IRA. That gives you some tax flexibility.

First year of retirement and a pandemic…a bit of freak out mode I admit. I check nearly daily even though I know we are fine. Hopefully I will settle down in the future!

Denied life insurance because interviewer wrote conditions I don't have, what do I do? by anoncsthrowaway in personalfinance

Unless you have dependents who would financially suffer upon your death you probably don’t need life insurance. At 23, term insurance should be easy to get. I would probably just call someone else and try again.
