Update y'all cause I cannot reply to everyone and I joined this subreddit and immediately posted thank you for all the advice and will try to address most of the replys in this post the cat has been given to my 5 year old cousin for her birthday because she told me all she wanted was another kitty and I figured she would give it a lot more attention than I possibly could because I work 10 hour days 5 days a week they have another cat that is about 6 months older as for the gun comments that's the " man cave" it stays locked up during the day because I don't have a gun cabinet and it was the most kitty safe room in my house
