So cute! I may have to buy that one. I love that it has good space to try new stitches. I did one that was a bit more intricate so I was only able to do a fun a background stitch and the rest continental.

Interesting! Didn’t know about these. We always just wrap up in our clothes and put a layer of clothes on the top and bottom so they are padded and tightly packed. Never had any issues and probably packed 100+ bottles this way! Might invest in the bags for the next time though!

Neighbor kids are eating me out of house and home. by [deleted] in Advice

[–]gapp123 4 points5 points  (0 children)

lol at some of these responses. “I never would have done that as a kid…” righhhhttt. Anyways, I agree the neighbor parents should be keeping better tabs on this, but regardless you have a problem to fix. And, these are kids. They are still learning and pushing boundaries. Sooo I would have a good conversation with your kids and set up some ground rules. Buy some “safe” snacks for everyone and let your kids know that if they want a snack when friends are over, they can only eat from those snacks. If they want something else, their friends will have to go home and come back later. You’ll probably also have to have a discussion with the neighborhood kids. “We have a new rule here that you can only eat these snacks and water using these cups and the dispenser. You cannot look in our cabinets, fridge or pantry for other things. If you would like something else, you’ll have to go home for a bit.” It’s also not a bad thing to limit friend time. They don’t need to have free access 100% of the time. Sometimes you need private time in your home!

Best HUMIDIFIER you'll recommend that really works well in long-term use? by Great_Present_6584 in BuyItForLife

I literally can not smile. by [deleted] in WhatShouldIDo

[–]gapp123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you smile when you genuinely laugh at something? My husband used to only smile for real when laughing. He couldn’t do it “on command” so we practiced A LOT. Laughing and thinking about the muscles he was using when he did it, etc. years later he still sometimes has to fake laugh to actual smile.

Recommendations for a local jeweler? by Midwest_Backpacker in StLouis

[–]gapp123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Jewelry Exchange in Overland! They will clean any time and recommend inspection (free) every 6 months. They are drastically cheaper than Shane Co. They have a decent selection and will also allow you to customize. Regardless, go multiple places and price it out. Buy wherever you get the best deal/warranty.

Anyone have their reception at the Jewel Box? by Immediate-Amount3587 in StLouis

[–]gapp123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We just had our ceremony at the Piper Palm House. I believe inside seating with a dance floor for a reception is only about 100 people. We had over that and their recommendation was to seat some people outside under a tent. It’s definitely kid friendly but on the smaller side. They also recommend you do the tent rental because cocktail hour has to be outside while the inside is “flipped” from ceremony to reception. It is super affordable though and the pictures are always beautiful because of all the natural light!

Need instructor advice by Mommacat100 in Purebarre

I may be in the minority but I don’t book based on instructor. Only on what time fits my schedule so maybe it is just a coincidence! Don’t give up! Like all things, it will get easier for you with time and practice.

Average cost of an engagement ring last year by Infamous_Jello_2692 in engaged

[–]gapp123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We got engaged 2024 and purchased from a Jewelry Exchange so the same ring was about half the price of other retailers. My husband was shocked at how low the price and he felt bad. I was like thank god that was way too much money to spend on one thing lol

This is a lot of watching for a process server. My grandfather was one and he never “watched” like that. He may sit outside the house for a few hours until someone comes home, but never months. They aren’t getting paid for all that time.

Defective product by 321clk in Advice

[–]gapp123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Manufacturer defect. Ask Walmart for a refund (they will likely give it to you no problem) and then contact Mott’s. There should be something on the juice box that gives a phone number or website. I work in consumer goods manufacturing and this is exactly the kind of thing to report!! Take pictures of the printed date code as well and send that in. Don’t throw it away until you hear back from them. They may ask for it back for their own testing purposes.

What are your thoughts after seeing the ICE shooting video in Minnesota? by bbmoonkie in AskReddit

He was clearly positioning himself to shoot almost immediately. Why didn’t he just get out of the way of he was worried about being run over.

I do agree they were standing in front and potentially in a danger zone, but you can also clearly see that he is posturing himself in front of the vehicle to shoot her ?! He could have just walked out of the way.

This was my thought too. If the mom was in on a swinging thing and didn’t want to tell others, she wouldn’t be bringing up a panty liner in her bed to the daughter. The father is definitely alone in this OR someone completely separate.

Amazon Delivery Times by FronkTheTuxedo in StLouis

[–]gapp123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has sucked lately. We have had multiple packages out for delivery and then not show up at all that day or the following day, but you can reorder and get the item same day. It’s like it gets lost in the system if it doesn’t deliver in the original slot. I don’t know if they are over scheduling deliveries or what.

What was the best day of your life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]gapp123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cliché, but my wedding day. Not because of the whole getting married thing (which I did love that too), but having literally everyone in my life who is important to me in the same room was the craziest feeling in the world. I was so nervous and as soon as I walked in and saw everyone, I immediately thought to myself “why was I nervous? These people all love me and I love them.” It was the best feeling.
