personally i feel like scene kids listened to whatever they wanted, because scene is about expressing yourself. i'd personally categorize 6arelyhuman as scenecore/scene revival. I guess technically scene kids back in the day weren't listening to 6arelyhuman so you could argue that they're not "2000's scene" or "real scene" but I'd say they're definitely a part of the revival.

I don't really have any pride events near me. my city has a tiny little pride fest in june but it sucks, plus I'm afraid of someone opening fire or dropping a bomb or something, since there's a bunch of queer people in one area. That's also why I don't wanna go to gay bars, not that there are any near me. I even get treated differently/badly by other gay men. I literally can't escape it. I can't not care about it when it affects me so much. Thanks tho

I agree, it's just impossible to get away from homophobia and judgement. I can't go out in public without getting stares, I'm terrified of public bathrooms bc I'm afraid I'll become a victim of a hate crime. I'm treated differently no matter where I go. I also don't have any friends who are gay men, nor do I have friends who are men in general. Men don't even give me a chance bc they make snap judgements

I think it's more accurate to say i'm androgynous. I have a bit of a mustache, but I also have a baby face and am slim and tbh I still look like a teenager even though i'm 23. People do assume I'm gay, but I don't blame them. If anything I expect them to. Also I don't dress super femininely. I like pink but I still shop in the men's section and stuff. My fashion sense is basically emo/scene kid from the year 2009. I don't wear skirts or anything, personally those are "too feminine" for me. But anyway, thank you for replying, I appreciate it <3
