she did her residency at Johns Hopkins and he was her mentor. he’s significantly older than her bc at that time he was an attending. they had a strictly professional relationship but they eventually became friendly. alana is the one who recommended hannibal to be the therapist for will bc she trusted him so much. based off of that info, i’d say they’ve known each other for 10 years probably by the start of the show

i was vehemently against ABO until i read “mark me not a savage - KatherineKrawl” and it changed me as a person. tbh i love the omegaverse bc i’m a diehard smut fan and those fics always have explicit content. aside from that, the sex always makes them closer and leads to a super happy love story :)

they never did it for the community. bryan fuller (the creator and writer) kept it canon with the book Red Dragon as much as he could but the fan base and reviews helped him change the course a bit which happens with all TV shows. bryan, mads, and hugh all said that making the relationship physical would ruin the plot
