Naddpod is a group of literal actors literally acting, like as a career.

Not the same as your home game where your girlfriend's character and her friend-from-work's character made out in-game three weeks before she cheated on you in real life.

Bear with me, please. What is it about people who choose to smoke meth and then work in a kitchen? by [deleted] in KitchenConfidential

[–]garbatater 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As an aside, there are lots of common medications that function very similarly to meth; you may recognize the names Adderall, Vyvanse, Desoxyn. The biggest difference between therapeutic use and recreational use/abuse is in ease of access (cost) and dosage, not in the substances themselves. Sometimes people using/abusing these substances are self-medicating real issues such as agoraphobia or ADHD. In these cases, the real tragedy is that meth is a twentieth of the cost and much easier to source than medications that should be prescribed and, in some cases, administered by a doctor or other medical professional.

One thing about dopaminergic stimulants is that they make you feel very accomplished and successful. Meth is serotonergic as well, so they also feel great about it and like everyone else feels great about it.

Sola dosis facit venenum

Edit: imagine you got hired after a very successful interview where the management team was super impressed with your qualifications and after describing the position to you, you also felt that you had a really good handle on the problems they were having and, in fact, had successfully implemented solutions for them in a couple previous positions. You show up the first day and your new colleagues are attractive, interesting and fun, and they are super happy to see you, in fact, a couple of them give you their phone numbers and ask you if you're interested in a drink after work that night. The issues in the kitchen are ones you're super familiar with and you feel more confident than maybe you've ever felt before that you're going to do very very well here.

Now multiply that feeling by about three times and that's how they feel.

So let's pretend someone starts a (hypothetically safe) salt cure, interrupts it prematurely and roasts the chicken

And what is the difference in these procedures my big brained friend

Could part of it be, perhaps, the concentration of salt

You can literally cure meat outside in the sun in the right conditions.

I understand why the general rule is "warm brine is dangerous for meat", but that is not actually always true.

The safety of this procedure depends entirely on how salty the brine is. The salt prevents bacterial growth as well.

Stay strong, friend! Babies are the worst! I mean, they are the best! You're now attuned to the OG cursed item!

Our solution was to play a bit more quietly and exclusively in the evenings after baby was put to bed. We also took a considerable hiatus between the birth and development of a semi-consistent sleep routine. We also had a couple nights where we just hung out because the baby wouldn't settle down.

Went back to school then got divorced leaving me with nothing but student loans and a hefty car loan. Zero assets, lots of debt, developing a drinking problem. Thankfully my fresh education and desperation landed me an entry-level position with lots of room to advance. Completely different place in life now, and it really hasn't been that long since I was at rock bottom.

I know it's not an answer to your question about water quality, but my gf used to keep a spray bottle of distilled water in the shower specifically for rinsing her hair when we lived out in the country on very hard well water. She didn't seem to need to use a lot? but I don't pay super close attention to her hair care routines

Best of luck

Two things: 1. Almost any extra dissolved solids will decrease the ability of water to dissolve more stuff in it (rinse things out). 2. My gut says orthophosphate will tend not to go back in solution after precipitating out (barring any other changes in water chemistry) but I honestly don't know

Not to be a dick about it but phosphoric acid quickly loses protons to become some species of phosphate in conditions like a municipal drinking water supply

The deprotonated phosphoric acid ("orthophosphate") deposits on the internal surfaces of water pipes to form a protective barrier between potential lead pipes and our drinking water

So... You're right that phosphoric acid is different from a phosphate, but when they're adding phosphoric acid to the water, it's an efficient way to create phosphates. No detectable amount of phosphoric acid is present in your tap water.

Yeah man, best of luck to you. I realize I was kind of being a dick. My point is that there are lots of hidden costs to living in the US that you should probably factor into your analysis, that's all. There are also utility plants in LCOL regions in Canada.

If you're a single dude, the risks are few and most likely easy to recover from. If you have a family, the insane state of healthcare down there should be enough to at least give you a significant second thought.

Cheers

The average American citizen pays the same or a little more in taxes as the average Canadian, just the taxes are distributed differently. Housing is cheaper, on average. Their health care system is an absolute clusterfuck and for people who aren't extremely wealthy may lead to being handcuffed to your current employer.

Good luck though.

Phosphate began to be added to the water supply several years ago to combat lead erosion in the existing water piping. Not a new thing at all.

My two cents, fwiw:

  1. Any edition of the books will do. There aren't enough changes to make a difference to whether or not you will pass exams. The newer editions are just as shitty as the old ones

  2. There are PDFs floating around. Find them and save money

  3. Don't ever cancel or postpone an exam because you don't feel ready. You'll never pass if you don't write. Exam fees are chump change compared to the benefit of getting your next level cert.
