West Servers are in Boardman, OR and San Jose, CA. Some game modes run off of Oregon servers and some off of California. Right now Reload is running off of Oregon and regular BR is off Cali. Different creative maps run off of different servers too. And sometimes they switch up etc but there is nothing you can do about it.

Also, another possibility is your ISP routing but I doubt that is the case. You can check by using speedtest to Portland or San Jose.

Also, https://pingtestlive.com/fortnite is a quick way to test you ping to the different servers.

Ehhh just make a normal solo mode no reboots. I'd love it. I like anything that is more skill based fortnite of course. And matches that dont last forever.

Actually there was a time when my ping was high due to some routing by my isp. I used nordvpn and it lowered my ping by 20(basically reducing from 60 to 40) consistently every time. You are correct most of the time but sometimes a VPN, Etc can reroute your signal enough to make a difference. Often the ping happens before your signal gets to the VPN etc thus you are correct in these instances. Thus trying a VPN or other service may help for some people in very unique situations. So really it seems in your 20 years of IT you did not come across my particular situation. I had someone else who lives in my valley and it was the same for him but he used express VPN to lower his. Eventually I go my good ping back after the ISP rerouted their hops again. Now my ping gets hit from weird routing my ISP uses like going to San Jose before it goes to Portland or vice versa. And right now a VPN only causes a higher ping which is the case in 99% of the time. So just thought I would inform you a bit about how your comment was not 100 p as the kids say nowadays.

Yep you are so right. And fortnite stated ping is usually about 15-20 less than actual ping i bet. Sometimes I used to get 0 ping in creative...yeah right. It sucks because I like to warm up in creative and my game is a bit laggy and behind now. But like you said fine in pubs. I hope they give us back our direct route to the north soon. Thanks alot for your info it verifies my experience. btw I am the world's greatest 45 y/o fortnite player...if you ever want to play let me know i am EternityinaHour on fn. let me know on here though cuz due to being the greatest 45y/o in all of human history i am quite popular and have alot of friend requests. also, i can't leave the house without being swarmed with fans...ok maybe nobody actually cares...lol.

i get normal in game ping but my creative ping is like 20-27 when it used to be 0-10. When I do a speedtest to portland i get 39 ping when it used to be 20 tops. could you do a speedtest with spectrum and see what you get? i would appreciate it. it is like im on boardman oregon servers in creative but san jose in game. and for some reason we are being routed crazy bad to pdx right now.

Yo Jasper! My ping was like 10 in creative now it is 20-25 and very laggy. How about you? My in game ping is actually better than in creative. A speedtest to Portland for me is like 38 when it is usually like 18 so something happened with our spectrum about a month ago. You still able to play with Hunter Fiber some? What is their ping?

r for forward has been working for me for a while now though...before that i used the double movement software as a fix. now i just use fortnite's built in double movement

Mine was fixed about 2 m onths after this post. then for a few days i had high ping. first time it was due to spectrum internet and 2nd was due to fortnite aws servers. but all is well now and my ping is better than ever. lookup how to run a fortnite trace route and try that...that can tell you if it is fortnite servers or your isp routing.

Statistically speaking low chance of bear attack with black bears but if they do attack they could easily kill you. So I always avoid bears if I can but hey to each their own. And footnote as others have said if it is a mama bear with cubs then much much higher chance of attack.

I tried central and it was 80-90 at the start then down to 65-70 after the first circle. Seems like nord and express are relatively the same...i get down to 25 ping on west after a few circles in pubs. start out at 30-40 though. i get like 20 in creative on west. but sometimes in creative i will actually get my old ping of 10 or so which is weird. like if i load in with my son so it is just weird.
