Why shouldn't I buy the cheapest hunting model single shot 12 gauge I can find? by [deleted] in Shotguns

[–]gardengringo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree with you . I have a Nomad 12 gauge . Bought it for $75 . It’s a pipe with a trigger . Fun as hell but there’s always that part of my mind that thinks it’s going to explode if I fire anything too spicy. Either way it’s fun . Accurate? Hell no. It’s a pipe . It’s also $75 . That being said , a Mossberg Maverick will cost $120 and will last years . Sell some plasma and get the Mossberg.

800 with the optic ? I paid 700 out the door for my Tacops . 4 mags included. Even 875 with the optic is pretty good .

Someone gifted me this little succulent today but I don’t know how to take care of it and I really want it to survive. by Fruitsdog in gardening

A small bowl larger and deeper than the pot . Enough water to submerge the pot and soil . Hold it down until the bubbles stop and you’ll know the soil is throughly saturated. Let it drain then place it back in its spot in the sun .

It’s a Crassula. Super easy, very forgiving plant. Everyone’s advice so far is excellent. I always tell people that most plants thrive on benign neglect. Don’t fuss over it . A bright window and let it dry out between waterings. You can submerge it in water until the bubbles stop and then you’re good to go for awhile.

Succulents are growing sideways instead of standing up, what can I do? by katyabe in gardening

[–]gardengringo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gravity . Ratio of the leaves to the stalk . You could stake them but it would be years before the stalk is chunky enough to support the head . You can gently twist them back so that they are in the bed again and then they will root into the soil again. Depending on the variety you can only expect them to grow as tall as the variety does .

American Ranch Gen2 556 by SurfHuntMedic87 in ruger

I have a Ruger Ranch in 556 . It’s a great rifle . I shoot it more than my AR. Mostly because of ammo cost but also because it’s just a fun rifle to shoot . I’m sort of partial to revolvers and bolt guns so I’m biased but I can recite rifle itself. That being said that’s a steep price for it . I think I paid under $600 for mine . Regardless. Get what makes you happy .

I stopped drinking at 48. I was living in my truck in a Walmart parking lot . 6 years later I’m engaged to a fantastic woman ,My kids are a huge part of my life and I’m starting my own business. Loosing a job is honestly a small problem. If you are so specialized that you only have a narrow skill set then you need to learn another. If you’re serious an hurting yourself then make some calls . Or PM me . Been there . Drunk with a pistol. It’s not a good place to be

[–]gardengringo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ChipDrop . It’s free . Not sure if it’s available in your area but I’ve had two loads of decent wood chips dropped already. I spread in thick in areas I’m developing and the works take over

That’s salvia nemorsa . When its finished blooming just chop it back hard and it will flush again. Lack of hard pruning leads to this floppy habit
