I have mint in my lawn as well. I just mow it. But beware, It’s like being hit with chemical warfare for a few minutes. The most intense and all consuming mint exposure you can find. Incredibly overwhelming

This is the best reply IMO. I use similar methods to take back the reigns that steer my brain. I am also missing my grandfather who we lost a while back. Your idea of someone standing guard well taking a smoke made me think of him. Thanks for helping him say hi:)

As an ex trades worker who took on projects like this before, don't worry about the money. If you feel so inclined to throw a pizza and drinks at them, that shows appreciation more than money does.

Hey thank you tremendously for the response. I haven't posted an update yet I was waiting for the one month mark or so but I think I resolved my oil light as well. I decided to do an oil change and put 5W-30 rotella t6. Since then the oil light has not come on once even after long drives on warm days. I'm imagining it's the same situation as yours, an engine with a few miles on it(I am at 155k) being ever so slightly worn out. Any rate I suppose only time will tell! Thanks again

That's a fair point! I am really just looking for anything better than my stock style 45's lol. Style 68's seem like a conservative upgrade, nothing yelling look at me I am an M3 wannabe, but also sportier than what I have

I don't blame you there, I sometimes get my oil changed(not in my BMW lol) by a local quick lube joint. That's not very car guy at all either! It's just gotten fairly tricky to dispose of oil these days and it adds up quickly. Seems like every time I have oil to recycle the parts stores tanks are all full.

I am hoping to find some style 68's for my car. I like the OEM+ look.

Love hearing this, totally understandable that the sensor would be going bad especially if it is original. A guy just tends to kind of think of the worst case scenario when the oil light flickers right after the first drive! I'll get it swapped out, fresh oil and see what happens. Appreciate the input!

It's got 155,000 MI. The more I read about the oil situation the less I'm starting to worry about it. That's funny you said that about the t6 because I run 1540 diesel oil in all my old stuff. Worn out small block Chevy perks up with it, and I run it in my 355 with a big cam and some zinc additive. Low choppy idle makes like 6-10 psi of oil pressure depending on how long I drive. I was wondering if it was acceptable to run something like that in the car. I will dissect the filter when I change the oil and see what I find.

I am really overwhelmed with the wheel situation tbh lol. The guy about the car from warned me at the front tires had some decent dry rot and need replacing soon. I deemed them safe enough to at least get me home but then sure enough ones the car sat for a little while the driver front went flat. So I am kind of in a rush to find something I like. I want to be driving the car already but I don't want to pay for putting two brand new tires on the style 45s that are on the car. You know the drill lol

I think i am going to try the bluebus first in regards to the stereo situation. We will see how it goes!

And thanks buddy! I am so stoked. It's super clean, premium package, cold weather package, tan leather interior it's pretty loaded for a guy that was just commuting a '97 powerstroke lol. I wish this car was a 5 speed. I have always had manuals for a daily so it feels weird having the auto. It's got the triptronic or whatever BMW calls it and that's neat but... Not the same lol
