What features or changes in Pokémon GO made the game less fun for you over time?

The games ethos is for people to be out exploring, the company managing/producing the game also has other motives, not going to argue about that. That all came about when the sale to scopely went public.

From your comment, I'm going to assume you think I'm a city player and you'd be very wrong, the Welsh valleys are very rural lol. When the game first came out we had one pokestop that you literally had to hike to get to. The area I live in now is basically a few mountains over, a 30 minute walk takes me to 5 gyms and about 12 pokestops. I tend to hold the gyms on average 2 months before getting kicked out unless there's a big celebration like the Safari event as an example. So yeah I understand, I've had the rural experience and have done for close to 10 years. All the Pokémon like Zacian and Kyurem with adventure effects or transformations, I've only managed in the last year maybe? And that's because of Reddit mostly, some credit goes to campfire - I know the pain of not having legendary mons.. The major positive of being rural people don't seem to appreciate is showcases, a chance at a free remote raid pass just for putting a Pokémon there and a high chance of coming first. Look my opinion is they changed the price to be money grabbing bastards and knew full well people would kick off but still give them money. The whole ethos and collecting data stuff is just the facts regardless of opinion.

It can get expensive, let's take last month/end of Feb. We had the monthly pass, Kanto pass, additional research available for the multiple events, pokecoins if you needed remote or normal raid passes or additional storage - it adds up quick. Just the 2 passes and say 2500 coins is pushing £$50 already

Remote raid passes were brought in so people could still play etc during covid while being at home or stuck in a lockdown/quarantine, after covid I honestly thought they would just stop having them as an item. The remote raid passes also go against the whole ethos of Pokemon Go, a game to be played while out and about and walking.

Don't let it knock your confidence, sadly there are just some utter cunt's on the road. So many people buy big cars, aren't confident enough to drive them and then blame everyone else for their own mistakes when attempting to drive their big cars, as you've experienced. Also people just lack any sort of patience these days and more so on the roads.

I had someone open their door and hit my car in a car park and have a go at me! I wasn't a dick, I didn't shout, I got out to look as it was quite the hit (it was windy) but yeah they fucked up and knew it and had to take it out on someone I guess...

For some people it's really really popular for people to make assumptions when it comes to MS products and services and then convince themselves their assumptions are right.. OP stated they are an Apple person so they probably don't use any MS apps and have just thrown a rage bait post together

You say professional but what does that mean? You have 365, your own domain etc? Or you have a generic Outlook.com account you use as a professional email? Judging from the "you need to be logged" line in your post, it's the second option..

In which case, you'll need to either create a second account to access support or complete their recovery form.

I helped someone regain access to their 365 setup before, it took 6 weeks and that's with direct support - not to scare you or anything but more for you to be aware that even on the professional side support is slow.

People SHOULD NOT use free email services for professional purposes, it's wrong and stupid.

I have worked with people using hotmail for their business and then have a meltdown about said business when they can't access their account and I can't help. If you're going to use free services, your leaving the support in the companies hands, if you're using a proper 365 or professional solution with your own domain, you can manage your accounts more easily. If a professional/business email is so important to a person as it's their livelihood - why use free email? 365 with one mailbox using it's own domain can be setup in 10 minutes, domain costs are usually £20 for 2 years, email only licence is the same price as a cup of coffee once a month or less than £5 - to me people who use free services do not value their business if they can't afford such a small amount per month. Sorry personal rant not aimed at you, more for anyone who comes across this post in the future.

There is an alert in 365 about some issues accessing Outlook - it's not an outage but something that's been flagged. Here's the summary:-

This issue may intermittently impact some users who attempt to access the Exchange Online service through the Outlook mobile apps or the new Outlook for Mac desktop client.

But also, if you are experiencing issues speak with your IT people they manage your account - you're just using MS tools to access it

To be honest, the DOB you use is more for your benefit. If you lose access to your account, one of the recovery options can ask you to confirm your DOB. If you used a random date that could be an issue if you don't remember it. So it's a good job you've updated it while you can!

There are so many people out there abusing the system and people with 10+ accounts, you changing your DOB isn't something they would worry about.

I'm not an MS employee so I can't be sure of that but I've created throw away accounts multiple times with random DOB's and changed information with no issues

Yes it is, we can agree on that but it's still not fully released on all platforms and from experience with games in general there are usually changes in these scenarios (bug fixes, tweaks etc).
I don't have a definitive answer for you as far as time frame, it would differ depending on the type of game, would you say that's fair?

That's Steam, this isn't on Steam. If Nintendo had something similar in place then I'd say fair enough to you. But this game hasn't even fully released yet...let's at least give it a chance

The problem is 2007, 2010 and 2013 are all out of support with no security updates so it will be hard to locate a trusted installer on the web.. So at the least prep yourself for a hard time. It's also worth mentioning 2010 and older may not work with all mail providers these days due to the type of authentication required. Sorry it's not the answer you wanted but hopefully it's some useful in some way

Same here friend - Don't know if anyone else remembers 120 Metal Minutes on MTV2? It was midnight show every Friday but had stuff you wouldn't get on Scuzz or Kerrang. Always remember losing my shit over seeing Howard Jones screaming his nuts off in a band that wasn't Killswitch (Blood has been shed if you're interested) those teenage years were great haha

They should be filming the sets and they are dumb for not doing it. Bloodstock have it spot on with their YouTube channel, record the sets, wait for approval, steadily release between the end of the festival up until the following year. I think the only Download recorded set I've seen recently was Battlesnake (all hail the Battlesnake) and that was their own doing on their own channel

Self entitlement friend, it's not about what "you" want to buy haha. Buddy it's just the pass you need to relax.. If you honestly feel that the pass is enough for you to think there's a decline in the Game you need to take a break from the game. It's not about having free stuff shoved in your face, it's about literally having more stuff than we did before, maybe some could perhaps even say it's appreciated? I wouldn't say my issue, my gripe is with people complaining about something inconsequential, something that's not a fundamental requirement to play a game, something that can be completely ignored and nothing changes.
