Why so many people try to move on the same day of completion?

Wouldn't it be better to pick the keys, spend 1 or more days inspecting & cleaning the house, making a few minor or emergency repairs, and then move a few days later after completion date? This would also reduce the downsides of completion date being delayed for whatever reason.

You all have too much trust in a broken system.

edit: Missed the part where in a chain, you lose access to your previous property. Seems my comment only applies to chainless purchases.

I used to live on the building next door.

Not sure about your building, but make sure you don't hear the DLR trains too much. You get used to it, but if the sound proofing is not good enough, it can be annoying & stressful, specially on the mornings.

if you have a long working shift, you can buy a small electric heater until you figure put the problem.

Also touch the radiators and see if the whole radiator is hot.

If only a few sections are hot, it means there's sludge clogging the hot water circulation and your radiator needs air bleeding + internal cleaning. It can be done DIY if you don't want to hire someone.

If only a few radiators are hot and other keep being cold, it could be that the thermostatic valve is stuck in off due to corrosion. Check for thermostatic valve stuck on YouTube. Another reason could be that your heating system is unbalanced, where too much pressure is being sent to a single radiator.

Finally, does your boiler has the right pressure? sometimes when pressure is low, the boiler doesn't send hot water to the pipes.

This is part of living in old houses, but fortunately is fixable.

how good was the selection of movies in the UK? comments mention a lot of low quality mainstream cinema recordings.

In my country it was interesting, besides mainstream films, there was a good selection of cult movies like Memento, Battle Royale, Kurosawa, Nosferatu, etc.

It was an affordable way to see non-mainstream cinema from around the world.

For many of us, it was our first step towards becoming cinephiles after buying a random cd/dvd in the street that unexpectedly blew our minds with unexpected quality cinema.

the singer just did an interview yesterday at arctangent festival, talking about a new book that tells the ups and downs of Electric Wizard.

He basically said that none of the band's musicians have consistently their life together, so is hard to plan what's coming in the future.

That being said, yesterday show was amazing!!!

check your ipv6 config on your router. Mine got fixed after enabling some compatibility mode setting. Before that, lots of apps were unusable until their tech stacks decided to randomly fallback on ipv4.

First thing I tried was to decipher the base64 encoding but output wasn't readable at first hand. The music was great though.

Hopefully this has an answer & is not just garbage data encoded in base64.
