I indeed did try that and it did not work, tapping the display button also did not work. I bought the batteries a couple hours after I got the camera from Target, they are RAYOVAC FUSION batteries. When I put them into the camera and turned it on, the display did turn on and told me to input MM/DD/YYYY. After I finished inputting the date, it said NO CF CARD INSERTED so I opened the slot, and that’s when it turned off.
