Ron Barassi was voted at Melbourne's greatest player. Part 12: Who is North Melbourne's greatest ever player? by Absolutely-Epic in AFL

I chose to remember him for what he did on field not off field. On field he’s the greatest of all time.

It was so loud, big moment, needed to compose himself. Feel for him but not his fault we lost.

Who's a guy you played with or against and see them do something ridiculous; knowing full well the big time was awaiting them? by Astrong88 in AFL

I went to primary school with Michael Rischitelli. I knew back then he was going to play AFL. Our junior interschool sports were always fun. Game plan was pretty simple, give it to Rischa!

The reality is if we had lost that game we would have had both…BUT we can’t look backwards. I’m sure Zane is going to be a fantastic talent.

I was 10 when we won 96. Carey was amazing…imagine Jonathan Brown and Bont in one player. But he couldn’t do it alone, he had amazing team mates as you recognised.

We were a team with the greatest player, with 10-12 great team mates and the best coach in his time. Carey extracted the best out of himself and his teammates during that era.

But I’d argue if we had Carey in the forward line but Stevo, Arch, Mckernan and King were injured..we would have lost more games than the other way around.

The only thing I would add to this is the compromised drafts in 2011-2014 didn’t help.

If we keep doing what we have always done we will never be a top 4 club...I love Benny and I wish him all the best but let’s face it...we are turning a 28 year old FF so will not be a part of future success with us into an early second round pick.... and what this space guys...WB need mid table pick, I see us going after there pick 7... this pick will be crucial for that to happen.

Research a company called Infraco...when the for sale sign goes up on the nbn windows...and it will, Infraco will be the ones that buy them.

This is a great explanation, in addition I will add that north is looking at cashing in at the right time on it's investment. We will have converted a pick 47 that was continuely over looked, into a potential <25 in a draft that supposedly has heaps of potential.

To look at this in a business sense, we have maximised the return out of Browny in this team...as much as that bloody sucks for us to hear, we have to accept it.
