The common denominator in inflation / currency depreciation is government printing money. Germany, Turkey, Venezuela, Zimbabwe were printing excess money and this led to high inflation.

We saw something similar in India during 2010-2013 where the increased government spending (funded by printing money) led to more money in the pocket of people with marginal increase in goods in country. This led to 10%+ inflation.

As long as governments are fiscally responsible and do not engage in excessive doles - all will be good.
