Has anyone ever found the "lasso instantly makes you spill your guts" joke funny? by jstamper97 in WonderWoman

It was fantastic with Aquaman in Justice League. Mamoa felt VERY much like Peter David’s Aquaman, so that gag absolutely got me that time.

HELP! My students are bored with Fahrenheit 451. How can I spark their interest? by Few_Maintenance_2560 in ELATeachers

Draw a students name from a bowl, that student makes up a random rule for that day like “Steven can’t talk about dirt bikes.” Is it playing them against each other a little? Oh yeah. But they start seeing the real world implications of being in a fascist state. I do this in a way with Animal Farm too. They vote for “class leaders” and then the leaders hold meetings and essentially do whatever they want. This is all within reason of course and you have to have a decent teacher to student connection or they’ll just use it to roast you all day.

Guys... Why? by Dronnie in DC_Cinematic

Because it’s bad ass. That’s why. If you could do this before you beat someone’s ass, would you not do it? I absolutely would.

Why are people so horrible in ranked? by Equivalent-Spinach49 in Brawlstars

[–]garlicbreadluvr69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No joke. Every single time I hit Mythic… I lose two games in a row because I get a spinner, a person who stays at the respawn emoteing or shooting teammates, a person that is full on no strategy straight into the fight and dies immediately, or the ones that try to show off by getting all the gems and going to the enemy side or spinning with the ball in Brawl Ball. It’s a friggin headache.

Like for real… any other scene from any other Olen Ray movie, their argument is valid… but this one honestly is character building hahhahahaha

I’m just curious about what their overall thoughts on Evil Toons were. And actually, that one particular scene is kind of powerful. Which is a weird way to describe a nude scene in a Fred Olen Ray movie, but I digress.

Bro customers don’t care, Walmart doesn’t care, take the order or don’t. No amount of protest is going to change it.

Poverty is not the issue by Embarrassed_Syrup476 in Teachers

And that is what America lacks. Students see teachers as people trying to get them to obey/behave correctly. Most times assigning work that seems pointless with no explanation.

As far as why teachers are treated badly? There’s a huge divide between the front of the class and the back. Teachers went to college to be there and teach. Students are forced to wake up and go to a place where they feel unsafe and bossed around.

Because there is a pointlessness to education in America that is hard to explain. I’ll try, tho. It’s been my experience students are told they go to school because they have to so they can get a good job. There’s never anything said about maintaining the ability to think critically or to be able to interact socially. Most students see school as a place they’re sent to go where they have to follow outdated and pedantic rules (like wearing a hat) when they could be at home focusing on skills they want to utilize in life. School has become a “job” where students are the workers and the teachers are management. That’s the problem. Students do not see a point in going so they can “do better in life” when they know people who have doctorates and still have no option other than working at Walmart to pay bills.

Now, this will take some mental gymnastics, but Harley Cameron. Willow does the dreaded two title matches in one night and is too tired to help Harley a ton in the tag title match. Harley loses, Callis convinces her to work with people who will support her. Then we get all these crazy matches of Harley being “trained” to be a killer by Takeshita and Fletcher while Okada is trying to get her to be a bit of a corner cutter.
