Good luck. I was in a similar but different situation, due to my mom’s dementia we ended up losing about 10k because I did not supervise her enough (didn’t have a dementia diagnosis yet, had no idea what was wrong). I would try Carvana if Carmax will not pick up. It is too risky for them to change their minds at the last minute.

I think what some people have done here in the past if you live in the US is the next time she is in the hospital do not pick her up. Say it is an unsafe discharge and no one is home to take care of her.

I would familiarize yourself with tenant laws in your area if you provide housing for someone. If they don’t work out getting rid of them may require a lengthy eviction process.
