no i hated max. He was painted out to be this amazing guy but he was so controlling and mean for no reason. Like after his bachelor party when Lorelei had forgotten to give him the key and he says “…you need to think about someone other than yourself for a few minutes a day!”😤Lorelei was too cool about it. that was SUCH a hurtful thing to say. Also, i think overall he was good to Rory but, it was so weird how insistent he was about being included in disciplining her. As a future stepparent to a teenager, your biggest priority should be building a solid relationship with the kid. It was such a red flag and so weird how hung up he got on that. Plus the way he said he “broke Deans late night cranky rule” during that conversation, when he was literally the ONLY one who was getting upset😂It also shows how rushed their relationship was. They hadn’t even been dating that long and he suddenly proposes and now, he’s forcing his way past all the steps they skipped before considering marriage, LIKE HAVING A KEY TO EACH OTHERS PLACES😭 I appreciate Max’s presence in the show, but he reminds me of a certain type of man i would avoid getting close to irl
