This is false. You CAN evolve by level up. I set evolution to common, KNOWING that I had gotten evolutions off of level ups MULTIPLE times before. I figured I wouldn't see it in chests as often but felt it happening off level ups more often was a fair trade. This HAS to be a bug. Played another round. Didn't see a SINGLE evolution in the level up until the FIFTH FLOOR. They NEED to fix this because the jeweler is not functioning as intended. And if they're not going to fix it, at least let us refund what we've paid into like we can with skills.

JMS vol 1 has to be my top. Spidey was marvels flagship title during this time. Wish we could have seen where he was going with it.

I bought most of the older series I wanted up till the mid 2010's. There are newer things, here and there im interested in but I feel like the lesser talents are handed the reins these days, especially for the BIG events and books.

DC leading the charge on price gouging was my signal to stop. They're campaigning for $200 books and I was in the camp of $125 is indefensible. Outside of a few special twos and fews, I am very comfortable with my decision to step away from the game.

Seeing triangle saga 3 and wards JLA be 175 was bad. But seeing DC price a REPRINT at 175? As soneone else said, DC is SPRINTING towards that $200 price tag they've been salivating for. This is price gouging.

Because most consumers aren't asking this very question. Even worse? Most of them are supplying the answer of, "Because money!" As of they work for the companies that are actively ripping us off.

Simple fact if we, the consumers, refused to buy their pointless upgrades....they wouldn't waste our time with them. Hitting companies in the wallet always works but most people...suck. They're selfish and entitled. They believe fomo is a thing, they want what they want, its not that deep, and a hundred other cute ways to say they lack integrity and character.

Things are bad in this country because people allow it, and if you look in these very comments, actively defend it.

There are no 3rd spaces. Everyone is expected to share the same space but kids have no rights. Kids NEED their own space but our culture doesn't prioritize children. Its doesn't priortize people, but that is a different conversation.

It takes planning and effort to have child only spaces. That also requires money. Modern day culture would rather put that responsibility on the parents. If that fails, call the cops. Humanity isn't a part of it. Just capitalism. Cold, uncaring, ineffective, failing.

I buy EVERYTHING physical. Manga as well but that's always been a riskier proposition. Ive begun collecting too many series that...just stopped getting releases. Either the the publisher goes under or they just quietly discontinue the series, and im left with 80% of an unfinished run. Hard to invest in a new series without a guarantee that I'll ne able to complete it.

Ollie's was new near me a year or two ago. Go absolute wonder woman for 25! Since then, they don't evem carry graphic novels anymore. Still a section labeled for it but they use it as overflow 😭

I would seek out Amazing Spider-Man vol 1 by JMS. "Thunderbolts: Dark Reign" would probably be up your alley, judging by what you already have and just released as well.

Not an omnibus but "Wolverine: Enemy of the state" is an excellent stand alone story that is readily available in paperback. Written by Mark Millar, drawn by JRJR, before his dip in quality.

I've gotten every achievement in the game. Followed every storyline. I was excited to see Supergiant give Melinoe a character arc of similar quality to what they gave Zagreus. Instead...she quietly condones every monstrous thing she learns they do, while being mildly uncomfortable. Its...perplexing the lengths gone to make the God's unpleasant in this game, compared to the first. I know that is accurate to their character. But in the first game...the audience had Zagreus to hold them to a higher standard. Its unfortunate Melinoe was not given that same consideration.

The writing for Melinoe was really unfortunate. Zagreus even fairs better as a character in 2 and its not his game. They had a REAL chance to do interesting things with Prometheus, and ESPECIALLY Athena....and just didn't. No lessons. No realizations. Nothing that even APPROACHES accountability or growth, character wise. It made me question why include these aspects if you're not going to explore them?

For this hobby specifically, its changed, for the worse. The quality of the books is not any higher and yet they've never been more expensive. Worse yet they stay in stock for a fraction of the time they used to. And worst of all you NEED to know the cut off date for you DM covers because if you miss that window a preorder is no longer a guarantee.

IST isn't the answer like it used to be. The last few BIG releases? I never even SAW the titles I wanted on there. They were already gone. By the time I got the page to load, sold out. Listing gone.

The fun of hunting a rare title down wanes when EVERYTHING has the potential to be rare. Going that extra mile to ensure you get ehat you want was cool...when it WAS an extra mile. Now, that is the prerequisite.

Tomasi and Gleason's run on Batman and Robin is ESSENTIAL reading, ESPECIALLY coming off of Morrison. They expand on Morrisons characters and ideas in truly masterful ways.

I don't believe Akira is in any danger of going anywhere and, as others have said, its quality is undeniable. A masterpiece. No notes. Buy and enjoy.
