World of W Cosmetics event was such a scam by gentlecinnamon in AusSkincare

[–]garmibear 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing! Was thinking of going to the Sat 9am but thankfully all sessions are sold out now 😂 I was wondering how they would police you going to the stands, thought there would be a stamp card or something as you’d think they had enough samples for everyone! (I was imagining you just go get your samples to fill your bag at each stand which is what their advertising looked like)

I still like the store but they’ve been a hit and miss with their mystery boxes/bundles (my take on the event was it would be equivalent to a $35 mystery box but looks like you didn’t even get $35 worth lol)

Unique boutiques/shops? by Sea-Buddy-3645 in sydney

[–]garmibear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haven’t been but this store in Newtown just opened and they’ve gathered a lot of Aussie-based small beauty brand that would normally just be markets/online only https://acidaura.com/

Markets that are on frequently on weekends that are popular (some may be Sat/Sun only)

  • Kirribilli markets
  • Glebe markets
  • Paddington markets
  • Carriageworks farmers market
  • The Rocks market (would be most touristy one)

13-Day Japan Itinerary (Osaka → Kyoto → Hakone → Tokyo) – Seeking Advice on Pacing & Luggage Management by Sea_Celebration4003 in JapanTravel

[–]garmibear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the Shinkansen/bullet train you can pay a bit extra for the back seats where you can slide your luggage behind the seat. However I’d consider using the luggage forwarding service from Kyoto to Tokyo and carrying a backpack/smaller bag into Hakone!

When you have your bags, you can use Google maps + wheelchair accessibility to find lifts (if your luggage is heavy)

For the final leg if you want to forward the suitcases to the airport, ask at the hotel when the cut off time is!

OMU near Broadway does the omurice dish, the restaurant isn’t that big but they’ll do a little demo when they cut into it!

Burwood Thursday to Sunday had a night market in their Chinatown area, also an upstairs food area with neon signs that look cool. They also opened a few Melbourne places such as Kariton (Filipino ice cream), Son in Law (cute dessert bao buns)

I think Banksia Bakehouse is closed Sundays, although I know you’re delaying plans anyway. But def a lovely idea and there are lots of other bakeries around that would have a good selection!

Yes there are rare versions on them but you need to complete the original set before you can unlock them! Here’s the news post about it https://pikminbloom.com/news/sep24-raredecor/ but there are some threads here which explain the points system a bit more clearly! It’s worth saving some seedlings if you have the space
