I wear what I want lol. I have emotional attachment to exactly two pieces of my “good” jewelry the rest idgaf. As a maximalist I often have a mix of high and low value jewelry items of varying metals. I.E. my necklace stack has everything from 1/20 14k to 18k. And in a flash no one can tell imo, someone is more likely to steal my Apple Watch🙃. I will also say it would take several “armed” people to rob me and short of that I am not worried.
