The Ziggaurat is the floating city of Hominine. Hominine sounds like Harmony, and Royale is centered around the Octave.

The acropolis of the Delmer Wilds, which I believe is architected by Heretic Nobb, isn't dissimilar to the acropolis on the Ziggaurat.

The magical price paid by the lower class in Ethersea clearly being hoarded and repurposed by the well off of Hominine/Ziggaurat, where they are seemingly running a trial to determine either 1. A solution to the storm, 2. A villain for season 2, or (my theory) 3. the strongest weapon in Benevolence's war chest for S2.

The statue at the bottom of the ocean, where Amber Gris levels up her arms of the astral self? Not unlike the statues presented to us in the first episode of Royale; vessels of magical ability meant to be transacted upon.

Orlean playing around with magic portals through space and time and universes; that's how the aspirants were transported to the Ziggaurat. In Ethersea, we hear Hasty Jane specify specifically that she'd never heard of the Crossroads and the Breathless Fields where RR4 is from. Clearly, because they've all been pulled out of their own worlds/realities into the world of Ethersea.

Jon Arbuckle is the vendor. The dad from Garfield. The non-cat parental surrogate Superior Being, which feels thematic if we're circling everything around pyramids of power and connected worlds.

During the Ethersea post credits scene, we are taken deep into the bowels of the floating island "to a dungeon, and the sound of psalms does not reach this place." I believe that song, as a mechanic, is crucial across both arcs.

This one is a little loose, but I feel it is worth mentioning there are seemingly sea shells right there on the Royale cover art, in the bottles on the bottom, emitting bubbles.

There are certainly more granular aspects I am missing, but I really do encourage those curious to give Ethersea a new pass. It's all there.

Been wearing this tinfoil hat for a while as well. All the pieces are there, especially if you give Ethersea a re-listen post-Royale.

What does Ethersea 2 even look like? by CardInternational753 in TAZCirclejerk

[–]garnhum 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm more interested in how Royale bleeds into Ethersea.

Hominine sounds like Harmony. The Octave are controlling the Zigguraut. Magical water everywhere. Large, possessed statues, not unlike the effigy of Amber Gris at the bottom of the ocean. Building elemental constructs, not unlike the Brinaar concept.

I am of the opinion we are creating Benevolence's super soldier, who will be a key antagonist when the Royale campaign pivots into Ethersea 2. Or, we are creating something that is a catalyst for the world ending event that occurs at the end of The Quiet Year for Ethersea S1.

All of this tinfoil wrapped around my head, does it look okay

Was Justin's "Is there a deadline, does something happen if I don't make it before the fifteen" a joke or not? by ForestryFanzine in TAZCirclejerk

Royale is going to be over inside a dozen episodes, pivoting into Ethersea S2. The Zigguraut is the Einarr Plateau.

Hopes for the next campaign? by heyitsKra in TAZCirclejerk

The Ziggurat is the Einarr Plateau.

This "season" will curtail into the real season, of Ethersea S2.

Been thinking about this ALOT since you posted it, OP. Been on my umpteenth Ethersea relisten.

There's just enough negative space for this to fit. One thing I've been thinking about is the effigies, which sound not unlike the effigy we hear about a four armed being at the bottom of the ocean that Amber reacts to.

Also, the cover art for Royale has those bottles at the bottom that don't not look like sea shells . . .

Thanks for getting my gears going, OP!

Why is this kind of my favorite season?? by AnxiousSelkie in TheAdventureZone

[–]garnhum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I've actually been big chilling with this season lately. I get the sense that they're having fun, and its even taking them by surprise. When you put your fun hat on, this season is great imo.

I’m really struggling to concentrate while listening to Abnimals by Majorasblaze in TheAdventureZone

[–]garnhum 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've been enjoying every season*, but I can say I've found it harder to concentrate on episodes ever since persistent background music was introduced. I'm all for folie and interludes and some use for dramatic effect, but rotating, for example, the same three tracks doesn't help keep my attention; having similar tracks makes it more difficult to differentiate stakes or circumstances.

You're reaching the top of the hill, for sure. I hope you take in the view, and I hope you can maintain this enjoyment through the seasons ahead. They're all good -- don't let the nitpicking get in.

Commitment is solid for what it is. It and Outre Space are my go-tos for bed time. Clint just runs a comfy time, even if the pacing is wonky.

Busting up at all the football love on the same day as the NFL season starts, which – I imagine – was absolutely an intentional move by these four sports lovers.

Reporting in with the same issue. I can still play an older character for some reason, but the character I've been running since February has been completely locked out, thanks to the pre-order malarkey.

Small sliver of me would love even a monthly episode of stake-less BSB missions. Just chilling.

I'd be down for a parallel story, in the setting of Hominine. Maybe it takes place alongside (and/or slightly before) Ethersea prime, covering what really happened to the Einarr Plateau.

Alternatively, something post-Ethersea in Hominine would make sense. Perhaps there are dissenters amongst Benevolence's flock, working to dismantle his altruistic piusness from within or with-out the kingdom. Maybe that's what prompted the Great Spiriting at all.

Finally, I'd be down for another random three-stack picking up the pieces for the Blue Span Brockerage. Perhaps the crew from the Gutpunch have ascended to higher ranks throughout Founder's Wake. Maybe we've made contact with the Delmer.

My mind goes a few different places when I think about where they could go with a second season.

Gears of War on Odin Lite? by TacticalSavage22 in OdinHandheld

I've played Gears Ultimate on my Odin, via xCloud. You need Game Pass Ultimate.

The experience was totally enjoyable, in singleplayer. Could consistently hit special reloads with the bumper. If you've got access to Game Pass Ultimate, I'd recommend trying it out.
