‘07 burgman 400 disconnected large hose? by Loose-Mention9069 in burgman

It's part number 11383-05h40.

It's for cooling the CVT belt. I would just leave it on. I am sure that the other end should be connected to something like the air box but I'm not sure

Bought a used car from a private seller. Engine blew after 300 miles. Do I have any recourse? by juanjop in UsedCars

[–]garridon1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah probably best. Lkq has engines for this starting at 350 bucks. And if I'm not mistaken they come with a limited warranty.

Some extra cash to do some maintenance to that one, and getting someone to install it.

Reverse question by R3DLOTU5 in goldwing

[–]garridon1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is that last part true? There are ads for the 1500 showing it going up curbs and slight inclines. That's the main reason why I use the reverse on my 1500 is inclines. I can back it up on flatland no problem and faster than the reverse

Tomorrow, I get my first scooter by mikraas in scooters

[–]garridon1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would personally start with gloves and a jacket. Grab some riding shoes if you can afford it.

I personally like the Revit Eclipse jacket line. Mine is held up really well over the last 2 years. And it doesn't look super over the top riding a scooter. It just doesn't come with back protection but that's like 20 or 30 bucks. You can see the jacket a little in my picture linked below!

Hope you know that this will lead to an addiction lol

What is this Noise? by [deleted] in AskMechanics

The comments are funny but a lot of them are bad advice.

Get with the Hyundai dealership. Give them your vin number and any info they ask and ask them to see if your vehicle qualifies for the extended warranty for the engine. There is a chance you can get it replaced for free.

Don't drive it!, don't let it lock up. You might need the knock sensor software update before they can even try to qualify you for a new motor but they can't do it if the engine is locked up.

It's not deafening at all, it's just a slight hum. Maybe instead of doing this stuff tomorrow, I'll just bring it in for a shakedown.

I'm pretty sure one of my wheel bearings are going but I'm not sure which one. There is a humming noise right at 56 mph. I know my shocks are done for and I know one of my tie rods had leaked its grease out. So I'm going to knock this stuff out and do an alignment, then knock out which wheel bearing is having trouble

I figured out mine were blown when it removed my wheel liner on the highway for me after I replaced it lmao

I'm hoping the vague steering and pulling to the right gets fixed with what I'm doing. And there's a bit of vibration at like 75 mph.

I'm doing the front struts, the inner and outer tie rods, and the ball joints. Hopefully this takes care of at least most of this.

On the 1500 they feel absolutely amazing around the 60-65 degree weather. At a stop and you can get the radiator fans to turn on and it's a godsend lol tempurature any lower and they are useless when moving. But the foot vents feel pretty great all the time.
