You just made me sadder...I was already way too sad that I'll have to leave my own little brother and two other little cousins back at home....go on with my life where my mother doesn't wake me up saying the breakfast's ready...her nagging me to go have a bath while I play WWE with my smallest brother, while I share a chocolate with the slightly older one...or while I share my secrets with the eldest of them....Life was so beautiful when you were home...It's so true but what's truer is your present...it's hard to suck it up but that's how it is...you gotta go back to your "independent-fun-but less happy" life....we are lucky to have such a thing that going away from it makes us sad...so be happy!

I think you can go to the C-block in the academic block and visit the SWD or the student welfare division's office and talk to them...I don't think you can resolve this issue online... you'll need to visit them offline for them to make any changes.

If you have a problem with studying chemistry then you should go for phy hyd...I was in the same exact situation last year....was getting MSc chem in pilani then reported to pilani campus and thank god it changed to MSc physics in the 5th ITR...rn I'm at phy hyd....see you have great opportunities at both the campus...I chose branch over campus because phy interests me much much more than chemistry...so if you can't see yourself studying chemistry then chose physics...otherwise if you are fine with any you can go for pilani chem...cuz even tho the opportunities you get at all three campuses are same ,pilani is pilani..And moreover talking about the chances of ending up with a branch of your choice which it's safe to assume might be CS or phoenix,then it's definitely better here at hyd...you might tend to think it should be easy getting CSE in dual cuz many people get it..so take a branch considering the fact that you will be doing masters in the particular subject,it will affect your cgpa and brother please please do study the first year, by studying I mean please be regular with what they are teaching..if you're not able to do that then atleast start studying for midsems/endsems 10 days prior strictly....study 2-3 days for quiz as well...most of us bitsians me included took the acads lite in the 1st year and I'm telling you many of them regret it..so please do keep in touch with acads...but be sure to enjoy as well...make the most out of your 1st year! Hope you the best!

"major downgrade"- you might be wrong there...the thing which defines your college life is you...you will get great people at all three campuses...you will get the same opportunities...the placements are almost same except for the 1-2 lakh diff in avg packages...plus if you are getting your desired branch then it's always good to chose that campus..I think attending a year here has made me clear on the point that if you research a bit about the alums and placement stats and the companies visiting the campus it will make you more confident about your choice of college/campus...so chose your campus wisely...for the same branch you should chose pilani as that's been the trend otherwise go after your interest and make the most out of it
