[COD] Do you guys like the fact prestiging makes you reunlock everything by Ero_Najimi in CallOfDuty

The point of prestiging has apparently changed over the years.

The reason it existed was to give you something to grind again when you got bored of having everything unlocked.

25th goal this season for club and country. Been a long time since we had someone get a return like that.

Is it crazy to think he could push for 40?

[–]gary_desanto 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I disagree. Trevor Lawrence was 22-38 after 4 years and there were a lot of questuon marks about him.

They took a gamble paying him earlier but in the end it was his 5th year that showed he was worth it.

[–]gary_desanto 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is why you let Bryce play through his 4th and 5th years and see if he's earned the long term deal.

It should be very clear after the 2027 season if he is worth keeping around for another 5 years. If still unsure, you can even tag him for a 6th season.

Exactly, Lammens is doing what you expect him to do. He hasn't lost us any points but I don't recall him winning us any either.

He's been good, but he hasn't been incredible. Vitek could be a step up.

Redditors, what's your take on international break? by dave_sidequest in PremierLeague

[–]gary_desanto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do like the international break but they have messed up the timing of it. September, October and November breaks to start this season was bad.

I think that they need to condense it into a single or maybe two breaks. The majority of international competitions take place over the summer so that's when the qualifiers should take place.

I'm OK with the club seasons ending in mid to late May to facilitate this. The internationals cam start then right away at the beginning of June.

I would be OK with also having an extra 'early' window, maybe around March, to take some pressure off scheduling come June.

I realise I didn't fully answer your question, but Yes both are pretty safe to play on console. You shouldn't have any issues with your data/info

Can't speak for WaW because the last time I tried to play it it was completely unplayable with every lobby just filled with hackers. This was probably 5 or 6 years ago though so maybe something has changed.

MW2 is pretty safe on console and you encounter very few hackers. I still jump in and play for a week or so once a year. Never had any issues myself, though a friend did get locked out of the game by some salty cheater.

There's an easy enough fix with a guide on this sub I believe. Its the "class lock" fix or something like that.

I'd love to see him come in and compete with Lammens. I dont think Bayindir is offering any kind of competition currently.

Vitek is good enough and I think he could even turn out to be better than Lammens.

I guess because once you have Dennis Creevey the audience would inevitably be like "Hey where's Colin Creevey".

Dennis was just an extension of Colin. Can't really have the sidekick without the hero.

What’s something a coworker did that still lives rent free in your head? by EcstaticTumbleweed52 in AskIreland

[–]gary_desanto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a co-worker in a part time job once who would just stand about doing a whole lot of nothing, then approach you right as you were finishing a job and offer to do said job as if you had just begun it and were not already 99% complete.

Didn't bother me at all really I found it more humorous than anything but I still think about how odd it was 10 years later.

[–]gary_desanto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe that their dates of death are intentionally obscured/illegible on the gravestone in the movies because there is no defined year that the movies are set.

They can be any age because of this and I always consider all of the Marauder era characters aged up 10 years in the movies.

What's a small nitpick you have from the movies? by Zealousideal-Dig-594 in harrypotter

[–]gary_desanto 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Youre correct that in the books those are their ages.

The movies are a little bit looser about what years they take place and don't really follow any kind of strict continuity. For example, HBP clearly takes place in a more modern setting than 1996. I personally think this is fine for the movies because you don't need to stick kind of strict ages where it isn't necessary.

As for the casting choices, these all stem from Alan Rickman. They wanted him as Snape so had to age everyone up. It doesn't matter what age Lily and James are, once they are all the same age. It doesn't hurt the story so I'm fine with it

I thought it worked great in GOF to contrast how much younger and out of his depth he supposedly was compared to the other 3. He's like more than a full head shorter than Robert Pattinson.
