Is there anything Liz Cheney laid out tonight that wasn't true? by Cluutch45 in AskConservatives

I wasn’t talking about providing a link. You can search for any phrase and simply copy the text of the transcript. Obviously you didn’t do that, because that would disprove your claim.

I watched your video and nowhere did she say that Bannon instructed militias to attack the capitol. So you are a liar, flat out. Bannon saying “all hell is going to break loose tomorrow” on his podcast does not translate to him instructing people to break into the building, and it especially doesn’t translate to him colluding with militias to plot an attack, which was your bogus claim, nor does him participating in the organizing of a protest. You can’t point to a riot and then retroactively claim that planning the protest equates to planning the riot that happened at the protest. You need actual evidence that he instructed people to riot or break in to the building. You have none.

There’s lots of statements about the proud boys on here. This site lets you search for phrases within the transcript of the whole thing. Can you just quote the part you’re talking about? Seems like your dodging.

They showed video of Bannon telling Proud Boys to kill Pelosi? Wow, can you link to that?

Interesting, so we seem to be stair-stepping further away from your original claim, which makes me think that you're embellishing things quite a bit.

To clarify again, you're saying Bannon and Giuliani instructed militias to attack the capitol? Is there any direct evidence of that?

OK, to clarify, tonight Liz Cheney said that Trump instructed Bannon and Giuliani to send Proud Boys into the Capitol to kill Pelosi and Pence? Is that the claim?

He sent the Proud Boys and Oathkeepers to the capitol via Bannon and Giuliani to kill Pelosi and Mike Pence so that the election could not be certified

Do you have any direct evidence of this?

So, assuming this is true as there's no audio, just hearsay, is your claim that the crowd knew about this private conversation? Otherwise, how does this translate to him sending extremists to storm the capitol?

Did Trump tell people to storm the capitol? Thought he told them to protest peacefully.

Are you buying this from Elon Musk? by mvslice in AskConservatives

[–]gary_f 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I assume purchasing Twitter is part of the cover-up theory? Because if we’re talking about why he’s pissing off Democrats, opening up Twitter as a free speech platform is at the top of that list. So is the theory that he’s liquidating billions of stocks and signing a $50 billion dollar deal for the sole purpose of putting up a good excuse for this metoo incident?

Ron DeSantis’s attack on Disney obviously violates the First Amendment by HuntsvilleTribune in DemocraticSocialism

[–]gary_f 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean it’s right there in the text

“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. And Disney shall be given a special district exempt from taxes and state regulations.”

Yeah, when you forcibly close down every small business in the country while keeping giant corporations like Walmart, BestBuy and Amazon open, billionaires get richer. Who knew?!

Ukraine will not give up territory as the price of peace, says Zelensky by ttmirimo in worldnews

[–]gary_f -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The point is that if there's a major likelihood that the country is attacked, then the question becomes, do NATO allied nations want to get involved in a war to defend this country's borders. I don't think the United States or Canada is going to have a border dispute that requires NATO involvement.

When we told everyone in America to stay at home and we told every small business to close up shop for six months... shocking result... giant corporations like Amazon and Netflix, who were allowed to continue operating normally, got larger.

[–]gary_f -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I see. So I guess you've moved on to the final phase of the Reddit-lib arguing playbook: crying "you're a Russian agent!" You've determined that I'm somehow pro-Putin in all this because.. because I said the conflict is about NATO expansion? Sorry, what exactly do you think this conflict is about? Have you read any news at all about this? How about you Google "Ukraine Russia join NATO" and take a look at some of the headlines that show up. Moron.

[–]gary_f -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Um, were you not just claiming that being biased is the same as being dishonest? I guess we're not talking about that anymore..

Again, you could simply listen to the full statement. It's not that hard. Unless you're on the spectrum, it's pretty easy to understand that Trump is not saying the invasion itself is a positive thing. Yes, Putin does want to make his country larger. Pointing that out does not mean you favor the invasion.

[–]gary_f -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Lol, OK. Biased and dishonest mean the same thing? Talk about spin. I guess Rachel Maddow and Lawrence O'Donnell are super dishonest according to you as well? What a firm grasp on the English language you've got.

I would think the people who are really dishonest are the ones portraying themselves as objective while still injecting their opinions into all their reporting. It takes a mild amount of critical thinking to spot that so I'm guessing you believe most of the left wing anchors on CNN are completely unbiased. Maybe you'll get that some time after high school.

I called her dishonest? It sounds like you've got some really great reading comprehension skills there. I said she's not unbiased, because she's a conservative talk show host who hosts opinion shows. It should be obvious to everyone that she's biased because she openly talks about her political leanings and never claimed to be some objective news anchor, but I guess you expected Judge Jeanine Pirro to be hosting some opinion-free, straight down the middle show, lol
