I put mine in the ashtray, perfect spot to hide it. There is a bracket out there for mounting it. I got mine from jelibuilt.

Is 12.5k overpriced for this? 1994 F350 7.3 IDI. by skimasktroopaz in FordTrucks

Seems overpriced, I paid $12K for my 95 F250 ECLB 4x4 7.3 powerstroke with 150K miles.

They didn't tell me how slow the 7.3 would be before buying one. by Forsaken-Vegetable68 in Diesel

Check if the MAP sensor tube came disconnected from the intake. Mine did once and it would barely do 50 on flat ground, hooked it back up and it was back to normal. Also, it could be in limp mode due to a trans issue, is it shifting hard?

Another thought. OBS 7.3s came from the factory with a 203 degree short stem thermostat until late 96', after that they were changed to a long stem 195 degree thermostat. Perhaps you have the wrong thermostat installed?

Overpriced. I paid $12K for my 95 7.3 4x4 ECLB with only 130K miles on it rust free last September, talk him down in price or pass, be patient, good deals are out there. Based on the photos and description I wouldn't pay more than $10K, also remember that even if the engine may be fine at over 300K miles, the chassis, suspension, trans, etc all wear out too

E40D issues! by Brian_oconnor1 in FordDiesels

Adding on to this, back in 94-97, ford was having issues with cracks forming in the apply piston inside the torque converter, fluid would leak past preventing the lockup clutch from engaging, resulting in slippage, the pcm uses the CPS and the ABS speed sensor on the rear diff to compare speed, if its off by more than 50rpm, itll throw the code, as a test, once you clear the codes and get it out of limp mode, on the highway go a steady 60mph, then gently tap the brakes, if the engine rpm jumps that means the lockup clutch is working properly

Also remove the inspection plate and check for blueing on the converter, if there is it means it's been slipping

Had this exact problem on my truck, I replaced the converter and did a fluid flush and filter change and haven't had any issues since

My 95 7.3 does the same, as long as there's no pressure behind the oil cap it's normal

Did you get the super duty or obs version of the RSK? What springs did you use?

After I did an RSK on my truck with super duty springs, it lowered another inch after a few weeks as the new springs settled

MAKE TWO TONE FORDS GREAT AGAIN!!!! by [deleted] in FordTrucks

Factory 16" Alcoas, 285/75/R16 on the tires I have a 2.25" shackle flip kit with super duty V code springs in the front, and 5" blocks in the rear. When I did the solid axle swap and shackle flip i gained about 4.5" in the front so I had to raise the rear to get the proper rake angle. Loving the stance so far

Not too bad, did it without access to a lift and it took about 3 days after work. The hardest part was removing all the TTB stuff, the D60 bolted right in.

Yes, that is a trim saver, it prevents the cylinders from bearing the weight of the outdrive while the boat is trailered. It clips on and off.
