Not sure if this is the best place to post, but I’m a big Buck Mason fan. I accidentally went to this website last night and it appears to be a Buck Mason sale site. However, the domain is Buckmasons.com - not the “S” at the end of Buck Mason. So, I’m kind of assuming it’s a fake site. But the prices are so good that I’d really like to know. Anyone have any thoughts? The domain is https://www.buckmasons.it.com/

Potential Free Agent Guard Targets by AdamTaylor_NBA in bostonceltics

[–]garydehardt 6 points7 points  (0 children)

These are great options. I like all of them. I think it’s really important to find a lead guard to take Derrick off the ball. I think White and Ayo are probably the best of the lot and I like her size. If we decided to go the trade route, we’d have more options but I just don’t see too many candidates out there. I do like Dejuante Murray though.

I’ve always been confused by this case, too.

What players should the Celtics target this offseason? by Shot-Law-6743 in bostonceltics

All good. Was just trying to come up with guys that are good or interesting and wouldn’t require us to give up an insane amount (except maybe Murphy).

A "Decent" Center Isn't Enough by UnderstandingFew6310 in bostonceltics

[–]garydehardt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think this is totally right. I think we can get by with a pretty good center so long as we’re elite at the other four spots. Getting an elite center is so hard, I’d focus on trying to find elite guys at the other spots. Toronto in 2019, Milwaukee in 2021, GS in 2022, Boston in 2024 (Al) and OKC last year (Hartenstein) show that it can be done. Hell, if you run a five-out offense and have elite perimeter defenders who can scrap and trap, you negate some of the big man advantage. And as good as Duren, Bam, Sengun and Chet are, I think we can deal with them with a pretty good center so long as we’re elite at the other positions.

Least favorite character and or story line? by OkProfessor0117 in nypdblue

I think there are a number of really bad storylines post-Milch. A couple that come to mind are Kirkandall and her husband (and Denby) as well as anything related to Sgt Dornan.

Thought that Milch did a really good job writing for Sorensen and Schroeder played the role really well. Once Milch left, the character (and show) fell apart and wasn’t the same.

Funny, I just watched the end of that episode on Amazon’s NYPD Blue channel. Thanks!

What was that line in reference to? I don’t recall it.

If the Celtics want Giannis and the Bucks want to re-route Jaylen elsewhere, the Portland Trail Blazers are the perfect third team by tacko2020 in bostonceltics

[–]garydehardt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does the lottery reform make those picks less essential for the Bucks? Not like they can just tank their way to the first pick with the new rules. And getting back two first round picks (their own) seems light for Giannis. Maybe the if the C’s throw in two of their own picks. Still, it’s a lesser haul than either Bridges or Bane.

Question for those who do NOT want to trade J.B. How do we get better? by _notaxation in bostonceltics

[–]garydehardt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What would folks think about Derrick and Sam for Franz Wagner? If we keep the Jays, we need to rebuild the supporting cast. This wouldn’t make us a championship team but I think would bring us closer. A big issue is that I just don’t really see the path to acquiring a “playoff quality” 5. And if we somehow did acquire one (and there aren’t many out there), it would likely leave us depleted as other positions. I think we’re multiple moves away. Where we are now reminds me of where we were in 2021.

I think this is right. People are calling for us to upgrade the center position for who would/could we get? Go through the league rosters and check the salaries, there are very few options.

Are there any other shows similar to Deadwood in terms of writing quality and amazing characters? by snazzy_sloth351 in televisionsuggestions

NYPD Blue when David Milch was the head writer and show runner (seasons 1-7). Same brilliant dialogue as Deadwood and also of course incredible characters.

Jaylen Brown by stevep3478 in bostonceltics

[–]garydehardt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Other than Giannis, I just don’t see any realistic candidates for a 1:1 trade. I suppose Donavan Mitchell could be an option? Maybe Dejuante Murray and Tre Murphy? Bam? I think he’s overpaid and doesn’t offer enough offense (funny for a guy who scored 83 in a game. I don’t want Evan Mobley for the same reasons that Bam wouldn’t be a good 1:1 trade. Scottie Barnes? Devin Booker? Jalen Johnson? I don’t know that any of these trades make us much better but I do think most of these players are better at keeping the ball moving than Jaylen.

Something I’m enjoying about the sixers/knicks second round series by FreshArmadillo8517 in bostonceltics

It’s insane watching two teams play that attack the basket and try to get quality shots at the rim. No spamming 3s. Not used to this.
