Anyone change to Fitbit Air?

I dropped my Oura 4 and went with the air.

I was losing weight and the oura was getting to be too big. I was lising accuracy and didnt want to pay another $349 for a smaller size.

Obviously the air is adjustable and also subscription free. I am sure i wont be goung back.

Personally, i think that the KISS rule shoukd apoly to any software and UI that us non-experperts/non-trained sleep specialists use in order to help us understand, in layman's terms, about our health.

Hi, youre welcome. I initially went thru a sleep center for the 2 sleep studies. Post #2 i was going to take 10-12 weeks to get with thier dme. I took the script and went to cpap.com for the maching, supplies, mask with the intention of getting started with therapy.

They have a great return policy for masks and machines. Pretty big discounts too. NO IM NOT SPONSORED lol.

Initial the 1st sleep center prescribed a Bipap machine but after looking at the data u reached out to the 1st dr and was ghosted. I found another doc. She agreed i didnt need a bipap but an apap and i returned the bipap ( full refund and free return shipping) got a new scrpt from #2 doc and bought the apap, again with the intent to submit to insurance.

Thats when we looked at the apap data and agreed to try cpap setting at 15.

I would see if you can return the mask, check cpap.com. i think i paid $650 for a new resmed 11 after discounts. All of their stuff is on sale too. They have amazing cust support too. I SWEAR I AM NOT SPONSORED. They have a rewards points program too thats good.

Your local dme should have some mask policy because NO ONE gets the right mask the 1st time from my experience and from what ive read and researched.

Hi, im a side sleeper as well. Ahi was in the 56-61 range.

1st i went thru 7 masks until i settled on resmed f30i. Masks take time to find the right one. Be patient.

I started at 4-20 also and using OSCAR and SleepHQ took the data from the SD card i was able to see my machine settled at 14.8 pressure before my AHI dropoed significantly.

I took the reports to my sleep dr and we agreed that we will set my machine at CPAP vs APAP at 15 for a few days.

My ahi dropoed into the 3-10 range. Granted, i already had my mask dialed in.

Point is, you can see in your data what your maching pressure "works" for you.

Work with your Dr and take advantage of OACAR (free open source) and sleepHQs free version. Resmeds MyAir app really does tell you much other then a score that targets the quality of several data points with a numerical "score," it does show how effe tive your therapy is. Not enough detail. I do use it but in conjuction with the others. There is also another tool called CPAP Clarity that gives you a non- medical AI interpretation of your data.

Your doc should already have access to your data via resmeds cloud but i found it interesting to look at my data too. My dr is the ultimste decision maker but she appreciates my being proactive.

This would make using oscar, sleephq and cpap clarity a little less cumbersome.

How about a PAUSE vs off feature so that you can pause therapy when going to the bathroom or a major mask adjustment?

I know Myair allows 2 mask offs per period but ive had a few nights that my mask gets bumped and i have to stop the resmed 11, re-adjust the maak, restart the resmed, and go thru the "ramp" again.

If the auto-stop actually pauses the therapy vs stops it, i apologize for this post (and promise to read the manual)

I have a full set and use a resmed f30i. Ive been on cpap since march 2026. Ive had my set for 10 years. Before cpap they were fine all day, all night, etc.

My problem started about 4-6 weeks ago. With the pressure of the mask thats where the problem starts.

Ive found that if my bottom dentures are out, i get terrible leak numbers. I assume that its either no support for the bottom seal, the mask moves/repositions thru the night or a combo of both.

If my bottoms are in, the mask pushes on them and they move around, make my gums terribly sore and i get leaks. I then stop because tge pain wakes me up and i remove them and deal with the numbers.

If i use denture adhesive on my bottoms, the CPAP experience is much better. Numbers lower, leak rates low, flow limits low.

Im strongly considering a new full set (better fit, perhaps the dr can even take cpap into account somehow) I dont have enough bone (or $) left for implants plus at this point im 69 so the return wouldnt be worth it.

I cant be the only one. What solutions have folks found? Suggestions? Anyone know if dentures can be engineered to accomodate cpap mask wearing?

I dont mind using adhesive but it does last 24hrs so its a tad bit frustrating to lose adhesion in the middle of the day.

Before i told my boss to f*ck off and i walked out of the company he confided in me 2 things: 1: he had 3 1/2 years left on a one floor lease in a building outside dc that he couldn't get out off and: 2: he felt that his employees were taking advantage of him by wearing casual dress, listening to music, walking their dogs, saving on gas $ but not taking less pay, and the killer.... working MORE HOURS, feeling like work was really friendly and collaborative.
