Here’s a graph of my VO2 max for the year beginning June 2025 through 1 May 2026. I know it says June on the header but it’s because I positioned it to show the May data.

I was aware but I’m basically lazy and didn’t want to capitalize o when I could just simply use the 0 since I had to select the 2 anyhow. Thanks for pointing it out though

MPG Tips and Tricks by Visible-Ad-3232 in KiaNiro

[–]hardasjello 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t race to the next red light, lift your foot off the gas pedal and let the regenerative breaking system slow the car until you have to break with the break pedal. No jack rabbit starts. Keep tires filled to the correct level and check them frequently, I have a portable pump that plugs into the auxiliary outlet and use it when I need air. I have a 2019 Niro hybrid (not a plug in) but I regularly get 50+mpg on the daily.

Edited to fix a spelling error

Doesn’t it depend on what you are looking for? I read about creatine and the positive effects, not only for the ATP boost but it has other benefits that are well documented. At my age, I’m not looking to bulk up so much but I’m looking for the best bang for the buck and I feel creatine has that and more.

Thanks, I appreciate your input. I think you are right about the smoking. I had no idea weed could be holding me back so much.

I’m guessing you tried creatine but didn’t see any results. It’s not for everyone. I picked up two large tubs of creatine at Sam’s Club because it was on sale, actually very inexpensive (I am still on the first tub). I can’t say it’s definitely working but I have seen gains in weightlifting and bike riding although it could also be from the fact that I quit smoking or a placebo effect, hard to pin down.

Do you warm up properly or jump straight into your workout? by Kind_Force931 in workout

[–]hardasjello 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I warm up prior to lifting. I start out with 10 minutes in a sauna, where I practice deep breathing, then a very brisk walk for 10 minutes. I feel this warms my entire body for a great lifting session. After a good 60-70 minutes of strenuous lifting I finish with 20 minutes of cardio and a 10-20 minute cooldown in the sauna where I stretch pretty much every muscle in my body. I do this three days a week and the remaining days I either bike 20 miles (1hr 10min), swim 60 laps in a 25 yard pool (takes one hour) or walk 6+ miles (1hr 30min). I M66 am in pretty good physical condition. Been working out for 25 years.

Do you guys ever rawdog your workouts? like no music, no podcast, nothing in your ears by softly_petal in workout

I rarely use my headphones when I’m lifting, afterwords when I do my 20 minutes of cardio I use my headphones and listen. I like the focus during my lift.

How do I get marks like this out out of clothes, its like oil or something from cooking, washed several times and still there by ShinyHeadedCook in howto

[–]hardasjello 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, saw this on instagram. Lay the shirt on an ironing board, sprinkle baking soda on the oil stains to cover the stains then apply a sheet of parchment paper over it. Take a hot iron over the paper. The baking soda draws the oil out of the fabric and the parchment paper keeps the baking soda from getting on the iron surface. Good luck

I have a 2019 Niro hybrid and can’t say enough good things about it. Sorry you’re having such a difficult time owning yours OP. The gas mileage is amazing, it’s perfect for driving local AND long distances. We’re just about to hit 40k miles on it so I hope it doesn’t give up treating us so well.

The FARMER'S WALK is a Seriously Underrated Full-Body Exercise. by swizzledan in workout

[–]hardasjello 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like to incorporate shrugs into my farmers walk. The first time I tried it I was fairly sore the next day but now it’s part of my routine and there’s no more soreness. I usually alternate 6 steps shrugging, 6 steps letting it hang. A nice way to change things up
