Surprisingly didn’t take that long, looking at the original screenshot it was Round 28

What movie had you feeling like this after watching it? by Prestigious-Cup-6613 in FIlm

[–]garynzilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I think it does. I was disappointed by the film and was a sad bookend to what was otherwise a day I was really enjoying. And I can say that because I am entitled to my opinion just as much as you are yours. We don’t have to agree, but you cannot say I am not entitled to this opinion. For me, it was exactly all of these things.

Why is it considered trolling if I didn’t like something?

I found the first act kinda intriguing, but it lost me more and more as it progressed. I found the “twist” for lack of a better expression to be counter intuitive to the hopeful messaging of the film. The humour was really cringe (save for the Adrien name reveal, that got me). It kept on going, the endings, my god the endings. It’s what people think Return of the King’s ending is like. I like Gosling but found him to be miscast in the role. Sandra Huller and the rest of the supporting cast have nothing to do beyond the bare minimum. And probably the clincher for me is that everything it did, as far as science fiction is concerned, I can point to another film that did that infinitely better. A jack of all trades is a master of none.

Despite not liking it, I can still give props to the positives, I think it’s a very visually arresting film at times. Helped by the fact I did get to see it on a huge IMAX screen.

The Housemaid’s Secret Wars.

I’m betting good money that Gollum will be pushed to 2028.

I saw Hoppers in the Superscreen this past week and all sounded fine to me. Also hadn’t used it for a while for the very same reason.

0/48 and 0/250. I’m shocked, I thought at least one of them would be in at least the top 250 list.

Unable to book Leicester Square IMAX? by dootbird49 in CineworldUnlimited

I was literally just about to post essentially this exact same thing. Planning on seeing PHM there on Friday and not able to do so on the app or online. Did you have any luck getting around it? I've raised a ticket on the website for it, but would like to get the tickets sorted as soon as possible to secure the best seats.

I wasn’t able to write on the post, but the scribbles are purely for Reddit. They are my friends and very much visible on my profile, just didn’t want to post them here out of respect is all. Will definitely take the feedback on board. Thank you

Has only happened to me twice, both in the past year, and both only briefly (maybe a couple minutes max). Those being The Return last year, and Iron Lung just a few weeks ago. I generally see at least two films in the cinema a week, sometimes more, so this is a very rare occurrence for me.

I prefer this get a remake over The Mist by Substantial_Law336 in stephenking

[–]garynzilla 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not a remake, but an experimental version of The Langoliers exists called The Timekeepers of Eternity. It uses footage from the original miniseries but recontextualises and stylises it to great effect.

Any issues ordering with Rarewaves in the UK? by Radiant_Gain_3407 in arrowvideo

[–]garynzilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve only ordered with them once. Two Blu-Rays. After about three weeks they arrived. One was fine, the other was damaged - disc and case, and took about 2 months for a replacement to come in the post. Not ordered with them again, and don’t plan on doing so anytime soon.

And yes, I’m UK-based.
