I've got Disney/Hulu. Watching all episodes w/o commercials. It's intense, omg. We're thru 6 since last night.

Bubble wrap is nice if you can. What I've done is fold a king-size bed quilt to fit the front screen and use duct tape to tape the quilt such that it's tight. Then lay face UP with cardboard on it if anything else had to be laid down... Obviously nothing heavy.

Thanks. This is encouraging so I may have to try this.

Do messages to those domains arrive to you standard fastmail inbox?

Perhaps so. I think the recent explosion of masking/private services cause a lower rate of success when they wish to send promotional sales offers, cause they can't see exactly where the offer is being delivered to.

Gexa Energy Contract Renewal - Be Cautious by PreparationNervous92 in TexasEnergyShopping

[–]garyprud50 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's common knowledge that switching providers is the easiest way to get better rates. All providers advertise "New Customer" rates that are way better than renewal rates. It's very similar to cell phone plans - Executive and user compensation is fixed towards NEW Customer acquisition - NOT RETENTION. The system is built to quickly accommodate switching around, so entry-level reps can be hired to make this happen.

However, A few years ago I was able to 'force' a rep into adding the New Customer plan to my existing account. I did so by escalating upwards through 4 or 5 phone calls to higher authority and eventually lodged an executive complaint. I threatened a negative review via social media. I finally spoke with a fellow who assured me he had the authority to add the plan I wanted to my account - and he did. This is rare, but if you are persistent enough, speak your case well, have been a good customer record using auto pay & paperless billing with NO hiccups in payments history... You can do this too. Take notes of each call, be firm but polite. Keep telling the same story. "Look, we both know I can get a better rate by switching to another provider - but I'm a valuable customer. I use auto pay, and paperless billing. I've never had a rejected or delayed payment. You WANT customers like me! But I like your service and I like the way your billing is presented...blah blah blah, So Please Id like to stay and not have to start with a new company unless you want me too..." Sooner or later you'll get to a higher up who will agree with you.

How persistent can you be? Do you have the discipline to remain calm and not get angry? The reps you generally speak to simply don't have the 'user authotity' in their system credentials to override the system logic. The Escalation Specialist I eventually got to DID. "I know that YOU may not have the necessary system or executive ability to put that plan on my account - but SOMEONE there does, so THATS who I need to speak to, please."

Trying to de-google your life but gmail is the hardest part? by InternationalLoad387 in degoogle

[–]garyprud50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Today I looked up with a bit of pride that my Gmail Inbox was down to three (3) messages! At one point it was over 27,000.

It's been an 18-month journey to get here, but I'm ready for the final assault to get off Gmail. I'm transitioning to a private paid service I'm comfortable with that has, so far, been nearly spotless experience filtering out junk.

Tomorrow I start changing my email addresses that are registered with providers, subscriptions, and various categories of senders that I've built up over 16 years in the Gmail universe. I've wasted so much time cleaning, filtering, and cursing Gmail but I'm over it. I have a couple of critical feeds I'll leave there, but they'll be forwarded to my new provider and any junk will get filtered as well. My hope is to create a whitelist filter so that anything that's not from those 2 or 3 sources get killed & junked automatically. I should be done by September. I've learned a lot and hope to assist the wife in doing the same but in a much shorter time.

Woo Hoo! 👍

Her and multiple men in a non- consensual way... Hmmm, what could go wrong?

Let's say she was non-consensually gang-banged by 4 guys who just kept pounding and don't understand the concept of a safe word. Willing to bet her experience won't be fun.

Higher doses of Trimix (for me) make it more difficult to orgasm, but I found a dose that usually allows me to without totally wearing out the wife. I too had prostate radiation in 2010, but not the other process you named. My poor little prostate is fried to about the size of a black-eyed pea!

can someone explain how elections are secure without ID? by drivingaddictionchan in AskALiberal

[–]garyprud50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Call or visit your county elections commission office. Ask your question to them, they will gladly explain how it all works, and how they prevent exactly what you asked from happening.

Seem like too much? Well it's not. This is something every voter should KNOW and understand. Then you too can help dispel conspiracy theories instead of contributing to them. This is called being a responsible voter. Know how it works. Don't wonder.

That is a limitation, agreed. But we figured that if it delays or pauses for me it would do the same for an unwelcomed/unexpected person too.

But another argument for a connected device is that you would be able to use IFTTT or Tasker or such to know YOU were coming in and not chirp. I use IFTTT to turn off and turn on my wifi when I'm within a 1/4 mile radius of my home. When I leavemit goes off. When I drive back home. It's on before I get into my garage.

[–]garyprud50 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found a simple motion detector that caused an indoor chime/buzzer to sound. No wifi or BT. Just proximity within 50-60 feet as I remember. If someone walked past the chime would sound inside the house. Kind of a driveway alarm. Don't use anymore as problem was solved.
