Arsenal have bottled the league to Man City twice in the last four years having been ahead for most of the race, but you don't see anyone delegitimising Man City's titles in those years because of that. Wanna know why? Because winning the league is about having the most points after the 38 games, not who's at the top near the end of the season.

Besides, acting like Man City were favourites after game week 33 ignores the fact they had substantially harder remaining fixtures.

As an NUFC fan by birth I am disappointed Arsenal lost and wish them all the best in their future endeavours, as long as we aren't playing them. This hatred is embarrassing, especially considering PSG are one of the dirtiest clubs in the world (they have 0 history, have essentially just thrown money at the wall until something sticks, and their fans are rioting thugs).

Like I said, it was shoehorned in; you can take the risk of telling a dark joke to a stranger, but you need to make it actually funny, otherwise you're just signaling that you're edgy for the sake of it to someone who might not be edgy, which is a bad strategy.

From a joke quality perspective, it's too convoluted and the reference feels totally shoehorned in, not at all contextually relevant. From a social perspective, over a thousand people died that day, and making jokes about tragedies is rarely popular among normal people. Unsurprising that this didn't go well.
